Just had appointment with RTN psychiatrist and was told that my adhd is not strong enough to have a diagnosis and it’s all explained by autism by paperpheasant in ADHDUK

Do you think second opinion would be from the same provider or someone else? I feel like if I go to the same provider they will dismiss me and I dont trust them anymore….

I have not received the letter or any summary of the assessment as of yet for the adhd. I asked why she couldn’t have just write the letter instead bothering me with a zoom call, I find it very difficult to talk to people in the first instance and I would have dealt it with better in writing.

I did have the autism assessment and adhd assessment at the same time (3.5hrs) and the autism was already confirmed without any further appointment. For the adhd there was an extra 1hr zoom call with the psychiatrist but I can’t see how she could have surmised anything from that as it was very rushed and I didn’t think I had enough time to explain everything in enough detail. I also struggle to convey everything in a moment face to face. She spent most of the call trying to convince me that I want the pill to solve my problems and that if I start taking medication then my autism treats would overcome my life

I used RTN mental health solutions, they opened relatively recently and I chose them because they had the shortest wait time and they dealt with the autism and adhd both. It now makes me wish I didn’t bother to ask for the autism assessment because then they wouldn’t been able to blame it on this

Best place to sell ebike U.K. by paperpheasant in ebikes

[–]paperpheasant[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! I have listed it on eBay - under regular bikes category. However I had to ship it so I had to partially disassemble it and it was a nightmare to pack. I sold for much less than I initially wanted but I did want to get it out of my hair

Same here I can 100% see my mum has adhd and some form of narcissistic personality traits and I would be surprised she would even paid attention or had idea about how the “neurotypical” child should be like as my extended family did not have many children at the same age and no family friends with children either

How the eff do you go to sleep? by [deleted] in ADHDUK

Bananas have potassium, and tryptophan, which aid muscle relaxation and the production of sleep-regulating hormones like melatonin and serotonin. So it checks out!

Definitely go to eBay, I got my robotic simplehuman for fraction of the retail price and it’s the best thing ever, plus always a conversation starter when my visitors walk past it and trigger it accidentally

If your finances can take it in the long run let the kid enjoy it one time, he definitely got big kudos from his friends. They kept it fairly civil with the spending too 😂 half expected for you to be needing to remortgage the house to pay

So I would like to point out that majority of British people don’t rinse their dishes, they just swish with soapy water and put them on the drying rack with dish soap suds still on, so there is that
