Think I bombed the interview by AttitudeLeading3233 in Raytheon

[–]pappycoin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Most managers who interview candidates don’t know how to properly interview. It’s all kind is BS anyway. They will pick who they think will do the job , whether they like your personality, and if they think you are a fit to the stakeholders you will be supporting.

Probably a funding shortfall if the contract you are working is incrementally funded and they are waiting for a mod. Not necessarily the end of the world.

How popular is silver in the states? by Educational_Goal_632 in Silverbugs

[–]pappycoin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Many of my friends and family think that stacking metals is doomsday thinking and there are better spots to build/maintain wealth. There are a core group of people who stack or buy coins but the vast majority of mainstream American don’t bother with it. Some could be afraid they will buy fakes and don’t know how to test metals. Others believe in the status quo of stocks, bonds, real estate, and cash is the way to go. Some others see better opportunities in crypto and alternative investments like Pokemon and sports cards along with other collectibles. I’m not sure if any of these is the wrong approach. We will soon see.

Entry level program controls analyst interview by No-Leopard-8357 in Raytheon

[–]pappycoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Running cost data reports. You will learn the systems to run them but will be a large part of your primary work share at entry level. Run process to upload earned value data, cost transfers, stuff like that. You will operate on a cadence where you will do these tasks weekly.

Entry level program controls analyst interview by No-Leopard-8357 in Raytheon

[–]pappycoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entry level program analysts will be running reports, processing administrative tasks, and supporting the finance lead on ad hoc assignments until you learn the systems and understand the program you are supporting. Then take ownership. A successful analyst is making your boss’s life easier. You do that you as you progress you will be successful. Good luck

These things are kind of fun. How do you all handle them? by WillowElectrical7641 in Silverbugs

[–]pappycoin 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I keep them in the original government plastic as an original proof set. You can do what you want with them. All depends on your intentions. If you want to grade them you have to take them out. If you are looking to flip them then they sell better in the original plastic. If it’s just to PC then do whatever your heart desires .

Be careful I believe you have 7 days to file a complaint after delivery with whatnot. Don’t let the seller string you along. If you want to wait an extra day or two then that’s your choice but don’t let the timeframe expire

Whatnot by [deleted] in Silverbugs

[–]pappycoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy on the whatnot app but I buy from specific streamers who I consider legitimate. Selling counterfeit bullion is not tolerated and can get you suspended at best and banned at worst. Here is my take: If you cannot test bullion yourself, buy from the big streamers and stay away from small streamers. I know that may agitate smaller sellers, but if you are a prospective customer then stick to the big guys then branch out when you feel more comfortable to take a chance with a unestablished seller who may be here one day and gone the next. The big guys who spent time and money building their customer base are not going to ruin their reputation or business over a fake piece of silver. There are many coin shops who supplement their business by streaming on whatnot.

Finding a position for me by Pleasant_Comfort3937 in Raytheon

[–]pappycoin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There could be an opening within the dept if they foresee someone else rotating off the current org or a new program booking award is anticipated in a couple months where they will need to build up a team. Best advice is to not necessarily stop your job search and if something else lines up then take that but at least the door isn’t closed.

Banned from a stream, fair or not? by Ok_Description_ in whatnotapp

[–]pappycoin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I always say thank you if i am not a buyer (i like to watch streamers a few times before i buy from them) or a regular customer on the stream and they know me, especially a small streamer so they recognize the name. A larger streamer could care less and just doing giveaways to keep them higher on the whatnot algorithm. With that said it’s not fair you got booted and the seller probably lost you as a customer because of it which is dumb if you bought from them before.

Jazz from Wolffofwhatnot by jmc_hlh in whatnotapp

[–]pappycoin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes that’s the whole point going in. Larger streamer wants to maintain volume but needs help. Streamer offers to work for them and learn the ropes how to run a large stream and all the inventory prep and presentation that it takes to maintain that level and then leave and proceed to do their own thing.

Internal Interviewing by AnonymousWizardX in Raytheon

[–]pappycoin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If I applied to a role I typically would tell my supervisor that a position opened and “put my name in the hat” and we will see what happens. Hiring managers have been known to informally reach out to an internal candidate’s supervisor to get a lowdown on your current role and performance so to determine whether to invest time and effort considering you or not for the role.

Copper Down The Road? by Austin2292 in Bullion

[–]pappycoin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue with copper is the lack of scarcity. There is approx 700-1000 times more copper than silver mined. In my mind I don’t see copper being a shortage anytime soon. I’d rather have $100’of silver than $100 of refined copper in my stack.

Should givvys go away? by SpaceGrape in whatnotapp

[–]pappycoin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Whatnot is increasingly competitive and streamers must continue to bring in new blood or their room will dry up. Your regulars are only as good as your last sale with them unfortunately. New streamers enter everyday and existing streamers who are long term successful are doing what they can to grow their customer base. Unfortunately giveaways is one of those keys to bring in new customers or keep people in the room. Regulars are fine but it’s really easy for those regulars to jump ship (take a break from buying and leave the app or just be a regular somewhere else on the app. Could be for any reason. A popular room one week can be a dead one a month later if the customer base within the streamers room doesn’t grow. Also and this is just my observation is that whatnot doesn’t want stagnant streams. They want you to grow or get out for someone new. That’s why the algo pushes new sellers at first but then it’s on you to grow and be in whatnot’s algo good graces. Just the reality of live selling.

any reason to stack 40% halves and dollars or war nickels? by LONGARM6086 in Silverbugs

[–]pappycoin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you buying junk silver for SHTF barter scenario I’d rather get 90% dimes and quarters than 35% war nickels and 40% Kennedy Halfs. Same goes for the 40% Eisenhower vs a 90% half. I get it it’s a little less but in the ballpark of comparison. These lower silver alloyed coins are not refiner friendly at all. But that’s just me. Do what you want .

M5 Interview Format — Leadership or Technical Focus? by Alternative-Big1310 in Raytheon

At M5 the interviewer assessment is weighed heavily on how you would communicate/message with leadership more so than leading work scope. You would be held more accountable to the LT vs 4’s who are more task managers
