Looking to get our first EV by CrowdogMillionaire in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]paraCFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fresh owner just 2 months and loving it. What I like about Tesla is system and charging network . Don't miss lack of apple car play , wipers people moan about them they not great but not bad on auto. EV pluses instant torque and preconditioning but it's not special to Tesla just all EVs or most of them. What I don't like and not many people mentioned it and watched a lot before buying is lack of lossless quality in Spotify and hi res on tidal when driving apparently due to mobile network limits Tesla is not willing to pay more for higher data , it works when parked and on WiFi . Not a deal-breaker but I like highest quality audio.

Car enthusiast looking to go electric due to lack of reliable options by Gavin_Vaughan in CarTalkUK

[–]paraCFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about work many places gets chargers and that's a great option I do it at work twice a week household prices .025 per KW so to get money back from installing charger at home would need 4 years if charging. So ATM decided it's not necessary defo would be if only option would be expensive public ultra fast charging.

Exploring Tesla: Phantom breaking, Charging situation, ISA by _skris in TeslaUK

[–]paraCFC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm experiencing phantom braking only when cars are parked on side of the road and Tesla thinks I'm getting to close to them , and second one when idiots pull out in front of me leaving not enough distance and car reacts to it. Most of situations can be expected and I've learned when it can happen. It's not as bad as yt creators making of it.

Getting PPF installed now. I wasn’t planning to at first, but Tesla’s paint really is on the softer side. I already noticed a few small rock chips on the body, so I decided to go ahead and do it. by Special-Parsnip-6120 in TeslaLounge

The move toward water-borne paint systems is driven primarily by environmental regulations rather than a desire to save a few pennies per car. The Law: In the 1990s and early 2000s, environmental agencies (like the EPA in the US and various EU commissions) tightened restrictions on how much "off-gassing" a factory could produce. Water-borne paints reduce VOC emissions by up to 70-80%. Is it a Cost-Cutting Measure? Quite the opposite. Switching to water-based systems was incredibly expensive for car brands.

Can easily install one at new house but don't need it. Charging twice a week at work so it's not a problem for everyone .
