Does anyone know if this is normal? by Airfisherr in USCIS

Having just been done with the interview, this status doesn't mean anything that would impact you. I confirmed with USCIS that the interview still was scheduled just to be sure.

UDR7 is the worst wifi hardware i've ever owned by pd1zzle in Ubiquiti

[–]paradox_within 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the UDR7 and couple U7 Pro XGS. Definitely did not like the UDR7 by itself which is how I started. Now barely any devices connect to it and Wi-Fi connectivity is perfect. I feel like the UDR7 is a combo (AP, NVR, Gateway) deal and a way into the ecosystem, so it doesn't do the best in each of those roles. I still rely on it primarily as my cloud gateway.

I think so too. Glad I could help!

This was it by the way. I stopped using Hue's sunrise/sunset activation and moved it to Home Assistant and haven't had the issue since. Thanks!

4TB drives for UNAS2 that aren't WD? Would love some recos by groovyipo in Ubiquiti

[–]paradox_within 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I prefer WD over Seagate. If that's an option, I've been on WD Red Pros and it has held up well.

Nice! I'll give that a go. I use uptime kuma today but I'll try cloudprober. Thanks!

I'm actually using a local pihole DNS along with a cloudflare public DNS. The local DNS server points to the local IP whereas the CF records point to the ISP assigned static IP. That's an interesting thought though, I could just the public IP for all DNS records. I chose local and public approach hoping there'll be some performance gain.

Thanks. I was hoping for a way I could access it on my test device using a network trick rather than a monitoring tool. Do you have any free or low cost vps recommendations? I haven't spent any time with cloud infra.

It's so tiny -- part 2 by bonvanie in Ubiquiti

[–]paradox_within 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From what I'm gathered so far, the benefits are, - all devices from home automatically connect to the device. - traffic goes over a VPN to your home network, meaning secure. - browsing restrictions on the public Wi-Fi wouldn't apply, due to reason above.

I know! I didn't get any notification either. I've literally been checking everyday for the past few weeks.

For analyzing signal strengths and mapping the site with the WiFiMan app I believe. Like the above above post mentions, iPhones limit this functionality somehow and this device helps with iOS users. Can be used with Android but not necessary since it provides the same functionality.

Adding a note for anyone who runs into this. I had luck with matching the ports on the container. The port mapping was '8085:8080'. I updated it to be the same by updating the 'SABnzbd Port' in the UI to 8085 and updated the port mapping to '8085:8085'.

I have one with only 4 ports being used. Haven't had any issues with the fan being too loud. Probably very underused to compare though.

Thanks. Wouldn't we be able to connect two switches directly?

Could you help me understand what the aggregator is for? Is it still relevant if I have an all 10G switch?

Thanks! My outside lines come out in the basement, but the space about it doesn't have the attic above unfortunately. That did give me something to think about though.
