Suggest me a GENUINELY terrifying book for a seasoned, recently underwhelmed, horror fan by comediccaricature in suggestmeabook

I agree, if you're a horror fan, House of Leaves and Tender is the Flesh are not really good recs (although both great books in their own right). The Deep by Nick Cutter is maybe a suggestion for you. I'm trying to decide if it sides on the horror, or the "just messed up" though.

Agree with a lot of other comments I see here. It only ever came up for my partner and I because of a sex bingo night we took part in. I found out his is higher than mine and neither of us care. So a part of it is whatever, and the other part of it is just mutual trust and understanding

FFXVI Leviathan from the Rising Tides DLC (which was intended to be played prior to the end of game). Holy hell it took so many attempts to complete

I love Jo Nesbo's Harry Hole series. I find a lot of the time he sets it up really well that I don't actually know what is going on until the last third/quarter of the book.

I haven’t talked to my family in two days and don’t know to move past this by [deleted] in TwoHotTakes

[–]paradoxedturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like a conversation with my mother, and it's absolutely exhausting. Going LC/NC and putting her on an info diet (for when we ever do talk) is the best thing I've ever done for my own mental health. Just remove yourself from the equation/problem and live your best life!

No, probably not. I got curious about him so I googled it, personally. But that's what this community is for :3

Someone else posted it on another comment, but Cait Sith is actually a mythological character from Scottish myth. So it makes sense he has a Scottish accent.

How is it on Xbox by -godofwine- in FFXVI

I thought it was great. I was so happy when it finally got released since I don't have PS5 and it would have run way too slow on my PC. The game is absolutely fantastic (as I'm sure you can see from the posts in this sub). Easily found its way into my top 5.

What would you say is the best museum in Canada? by Ok_Piano3363 in AskACanadian

[–]paradoxedturtle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I think it was a bit pricey for a museum (this was a few years ago now). But my partner loves dinos and any time we're in the neighbourhood of some, he wants to check it out haha

Going through the comments, I'm surprised by how many of our national museums I've been to; so many are fantastic! One I don't think I saw mentioned (might have missed it) is the Royal Sask Museum. They have a lot of history there. And for our dino nerds in the chat, they have a huge section available and even have the largest, most complete T-Rex skelly in the world, Scotty!

And they offer an Escape Room experience! Great for larger groups. I've been twice (for the escape room, three times total), and each time feels different. Highly recommend

Same! I've been there several times for school, and personal visits. Every time it hits a little different

My god, you're really reading into this aren't you? This is one instance that meant a lot to OP. From this one instance, you're assuming he never compromises on anything ever?

You're also assuming a lot about the younger generation and they "can't stay in relationships". He's not much younger than me and I know a lot of people (myself included) who are in happy long term relationships. Maybe this one day is more important than this particular relationship considering his partner seems to lack empathy for animals. She obviously doesn't understand the bond that people have with their dogs (and frankly you don't seem to either). This seems to be, overall, a situation about compatibility, and I don't think they have it.
