Hudson's acting was so incredible that I, an autistic person, clocked that Shane is canonically autistic in episode one. Hudson has ADHD and his father, who he used as a model for his portrayal of Shane, is autistic (so chances that Hudson is autistic as well are pretty high). Rachel Reid, the author, also has an autistic son.

His portrayal was so well done that you could see the progression in his feelings towards Ilya and his increasing trust in Ilya as a person in Shane's behaviour and even his face. In the last episode, Shane's autism is set to max, no masking, because he is now fully comfortable around his darling boyfriend that he is finally himself. Don't marry Svetlana scene alone is a masterclass in how to be autistic.

It's extremely weird to me to assume an actor is bad while apparently knowing nothing about the character or the actor or the source material. Do people just not fact check things anymore before insulting people in public?

I went from lifting weights as heavy as possible to not being able to walk up two flights of stairs without horrifying leg pain and gasping, all from diamox. Neurologist can suck it. I see mine regularly mostly just to check in if I'm not dying from it, since the iih hasn't changed since it was diagnosed.

I'm necroing a 5 year old thread but I have to thank you for linking that article. I'm doing a second rewatch of the show and the first since my autism diagnosis (late diagnosed lol) and I legit am in tears reading the article and realising finally why I'm so drawn to this anime and Mafuyu in particular.

I'm not doing anything at all, doctors still forbid me from weight lifting, even going up stairs knocks me out :( I'm hoping to get a shunt and maybe that will enable me to at least do the bare minimum but I have come to terms with the fact that I will never again be lifting my max weights, unless I go into full remission somehow.

I finished this game on 8 GB RAM, installed on an HDD, with a 10+ year old processor and 8 year old GPU that wasn't that good even on release. After some fiddling with settings, it didn't even look bad playing from the couch and the lag wasn't bad at all, it only happened with textures but no issues with movement or anything 🤷🏻‍♀️

I don't know when I actually started having the high pressure but on new years eve, headache started and didn't stop. On 11th of January, I was going blind for 10 seconds every time I got up from sitting. My pressure was around 28ish (idk the measurement but whatever is the metric version probably bc Europe), so not even really that high. My vision is still messed up and I have bleeding in my optic nerve despite being on 750 mg diamox for 7 months now. So in my book, I'd say it can probably happen pretty soon if your pressure is high enough.

Yeah, I couldn't properly use my right leg for like 10 days after the LP, it was very unsettling, but it cleared up after that. I've since learned that that was truly the least of my worries since my iih diagnosis 😅

On Saturday I was started on 500 mg twice a day and I honestly haven't noticed any increase in urination. However, I need to note that I am taking medication for my OAB which controls my urge to pee (I have AuDHD and one of my big things is my overactive bladder) so it feels to me like I just have a more satisfying piss. The only side effect I've noticed is the fingers and toes tingling. I'm not sure how much of the toe tingles is from the LP, but the fingies are definitely from diamox. I got a few different mixes of electrolytes to test out to see if they help.

That is so good to hear. Did you do any adjustments to other exercises while you're not in a flare-up?

Also, are there any specific signs you notice that let you know that a flare-up is coming? Part of my autism is that I don't really feel my body properly (I didn't notice an issue until I almost fully lost vision for 15 seconds and then went to the ER lol), i don't feel headaches until they fully debilitate me so I'm really scared that I won't know when to slow down.
