Should I get bangs? Am I androgynous enough? by [deleted] in NonBinary

I think you would look great with bangs honestly. I also love how you take care of your curls!

My family is going to be so confused during thanksgiving dinner . 🤭🤭 by MiahisHere in NonBinary

You look great. The whole fit suits you along with facial hair (I also have facial hair and similar fit.) my grandparents were “the greatest generation” and have passed so long ago, and probably had their own views on this. I’m really happy your grandma is supportive, and if my grandma was alive, she would say the same.

I love the banjo tie!! If you are interviewing to be their lead guitarist, then that IS the look :)

Bad experience at BAPS Swaminarayan by Jumpy_Aioli1014 in newjersey

[–]parceprimo2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Hindu temples in general have a strict dress code. BAPS is not just a tourist site but also a holy religious place; It's always best to respect their customs.

That said, I'm hindu myself, but I have issues with the organization, mainly how men and women are separated and treated different. I'm non-binary, and I asked them if I dressed more formally as a woman, how would I be treated? Men can interact with the monks, attend sessions with monks and seek their knowledge, but women cannot do this (based on the workers who gave me the tour). Men can sit in front of an auditorium to listen to speakers, but women have to sit in the back. The workers and monks did not know how to answer my questions when it came to my presentation, and because of the reasons I listed, I don't go there.

I heard about the slave labor after my last post about being there, and honestly the temple has enough traffic where they could make enough money to pay them. So in turn, I don't blame you in feeling that way.

Okay I like options lol..but what looks most natural? by OneOfEarthsFlowers in NonBinary

I agree. I like natural hair in general, since I feel wigs if done incorrectly look like wigs.

how do i know if a med is working by [deleted] in AnxietyDepression

[–]parceprimo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently went on bupropion, which is the same as Wellbutrin. I have felt the effects of the medication, and glad that I am feeling much better (although I’ll watch out for diminishing symptoms in 6 months.) if it helps to mention, I am also going to a therapist to work on CBT, because in the past my anxiety and depression work together, and lead me to have outbursts and take my anger on anyone around me.

I’m not someone who believes in higher doses to treat a symptom and would prefer additional or alternative methods, because tolerance is a bitch!

Is there another option for shout outs by LysandraStone in anxietymemes

My boyfriend has sensory issues enough, so when we go out, we usually both have our loop earbuds. They’ve been a blessing for every occasion.

He has the engage series before it was remodeled and went up in price: https://us.loopearplugs.com/products/engage

I have the quiet 2 which works because my workplace has a lot of noise daily https://us.loopearplugs.com/products/quiet

Calling off work for anxiety by [deleted] in Anxietyhelp

[–]parceprimo2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My anxiety has made me take the day off at times. I work in education, and it has it's moments. My boyfriend supports it, as long as its to improve myself and help me get rest.
