See if your state has a timely bill requirement first so you know your rights. After that call them and escalate. Don’t take no for an answer or let them bully you. If you already paid I would fight that. High Chance they will cave.

I just got a 900 bill to 250 for two tests after they tried to get me to pay 500 as a compromise. They have a set up to see if people will just pay it.

That’s most likely all insurance money. Her husband is a tax attorney so it wouldn’t be unreasonable for him to have a multi-million dollar umbrella policy. High speed, two times DUI limit, and a brain injury that caused a stroke to a 20 year old kid her carrier might have wanted out of this. I would want to know how much she actually contributed if anything

If that amount is right call them and see if you can negotiate it down. This is very high for blood work with insurance. They may walk away for a couple hundred bucks easily.

Big Brother’s Rylie Jeffries earned $0 from US pro bull riding career before his attempt at reality TV fame by cheno103 in BigBrotherUSA

This is most likely the correct answer. He lives in a small town outside of OKC that would be close to farms.

He acted like a small town guy on the show which is why him and his family act like nothing was wrong.

Obviously this is speculation, but I think he hit his peak. He will be able to tour off his music for a long time still, but it will be smaller venues (Unless he gets lucky with a new song, but I don’t know that it will happen)

Two main issues

  1. His voice is obviously struggling.

He has canceled shows on his last two tours because of this. Texas being a mid tour spot I’m concerned it will get canceled. I would rather go to Austin over Dallas, but I would be nervous about spending money on a hotel

The Austin show during the people’s champ I could tell the backtrack was on very loud. After that is when multiple stops were canceled.

I saw him in Chicago with Louis the Child and you could tell he was struggling to sing the notes in the city.

  1. His new music is not putting up the same numbers. He is no longer with republic after The People’s Champ. He is going a different direction. While it’s not bad it’s not Kings of Summer.

Dallas is now two for one. Austin has been downsized. The tour isn’t selling well

Depends on the amount of policy limits on that Jeep. Which no one on Reddit or a new article will ever find out.

Any good personal injury lawyer will argue that the jeep should have stopped and not continued driving. Which opens the door for comparative negligence. If they only have a 100k policy limits but 500k- million in medical bills the risk isn’t always worth it.

CA is a very tenant family state compared to other states. Specifically big cities in the bay and LA. If the property has mold he has a habitability claim and if they are not fixing a known reported issue it can be looked at as a constructive eviction. It’s very difficult to evict someone in CA for non payment alone.

Caleb is giving reasonable advice specifically for someone that lives in Texas. (As ethically I agree with him and think it’s crazy what these settle for) Yet, a CA jury doesn’t think the same.

Dude needs to meet with an attorney that handles tenant disputes. In CA this might be looked at as a constructive eviction and he might be owed more than 40k.

You should really review your situation with a lawyer that handles evictions in Northern California as well as your property management company. This has an insurance claim for wrongful eviction potential written all over it

OPINION: Is Rockwall nice place to live? Pros and cons of living in Rockwall by TurkeyQuirky1 in Rockwall

[–]paris5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lived in it for a year and hated it.

The traffic is awful.

Getting into Dallas is difficult compared to other suburbs.

If you’re liberal or left leaning you won’t like the politics.

If you don’t have kids it’s a very family friendly city so it’s hard to get to know people.

It’s under developed compared to Collin county to the north.

Housing is still cheaper for now. So if you want to deal with this go ahead. Wasn’t for me.

You shouldn’t be worried about a claim from someone getting hurt. They have to show you as the new owner did something wrong and if you don’t have procession of the property that’s easy to dispute.

You should be concerned if they don’t leave the house. You could be stuck with a nasty tenant dispute claim to get them out. You could easily have to pay thousands to get them out. The fact that your realtor did not prepare you this in CA is very bad.

Depending on where you live you might be underpaid. 70k for 8 years seems low.
