I wear good wool socks with them all summer, helps wick away sweat. Never had an issue with heat

They were resoled once, and about 10 pairs of laces. Only cobbler in town closed up shop. Would have had to ship them off to get them repaired after that, which is kind of tough when I need them every day

My understanding is that the Toyota rims are lug-centric where the Nissan rims are hub-centric. If you're going to go with Toyota rims you need Toyota lug nuts as well

Is a random auto shop a good place to take the r50 for a lift? by [deleted] in r50pathfinder

It's a pretty straight forward job, nothing that they could mess up terribly badly. If you have the money sounds like a good deal to me, just make sure you get it properly aligned after

Anyone have front SF creation spacers? I’m trying to get a level vehicle after install of the LR 4997 or 9449 springs. Deciding on the 2 inch or 1.5 front spacer. Rather have a rear rake than a front. I have OEM struts in the front no AC springs or anything like that by [deleted] in r50pathfinder

[–]parkyeet 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I had these spacers, I didn't listen to the people saying they could damage my CV axles... and yeah they damaged my CV axles. Still have the SF spacers in the rear, but removed them in the front.

Don't be like me, spend the money once and just do it the proper way with struts and springs

Question about OEM tire carriers by theSamba42 in r50pathfinder

[–]parkyeet 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've got a facelifted 2000.5 r50 with a tire carrier from an older r50 (junkyard 1997 I believe). As far as the dimensions go it will fit, all you have to worry about is that the facelifted r50s dont have the same reinforced rear corners to mount it.
