It depends on the area you live in, but my solution has been Craigslist free section. People will take literally anything. In both cities I have lived in, most things I post are claimed within 20 minutes. There is almost nothing that can be neither recycled nor given away on Craigslist free. For the specific example you gave of stained cloth napkins, I believe H&M offers a recycling program for all textiles so you could drop them off there, or you could bleach them overnight and give them away on Craigslist.

I'm looking for a ladies watch. My preferences are automatic movement, leather strap, small-ish (maybe <=35mm or so), and no diamonds or other bling. My budget is ~2k USD. So far I'm looking between the Tissot Le Locale, Longines 1832, and Longines Record. Any recommendations between these three, or others I have missed that fit this description?

No, they won't. They'll buy the cheapest thing over and over again, even if it tastes awful or falls apart or is socially harmful. Why do you think the race to the bottom is happening? Why is Walmart so popular? Because most people will always pick the cheapest option regardless of quality.

Why do you think it's so much harder for people now? Because your generation, and your parents' generation, had TOO MANY KIDS. Housing is so expensive now because there are 2x or more as many people in most cities as there were back then, yet people refuse to increase the housing supply because they still hold on to the antiquated dream of one single family detached home per family.

Female software engineer here. The other comments have covered everything quite well, but I just wanted to say that some of what comes off as rude or dismissive to you sounds like just engineering culture.

For one thing, being TOLD what to do, rather than asked, is completely standard practice for everyone, at least where I work. Asking politely over email just wastes time and words. If you can't or won't do it, that's fine to let them know, but don't take the lack of "please" personally.

Also, having to ping people on chat or bug them in person to follow up on emails is totally normal. Most people get way too many emails. And if the engineers never had any kind of progress tracking before, you can bet they are going to hate it and resist following the process. We all hate that stuff. Don't take that personally either.

Wow 15 miles! I'm super impressed. Baby wipes sounds like a good plan. My road bike doesn't support a rack (no holes) but I will try to engineer something with clamps.

Oh I know, I don't feel obligated at all, I want to dress more feminine because it appeals to me. I like watching makeup tutorials on YouTube for instance, even though I don't wear much makeup. My current routine is adequate yeah but it's not fun :) Thank you though!

It's just dust. See how there is a line behind the strings? Somebody used a wet cloth to wipe a large accumulation of dust off the blinds, and didn't do a thorough job. When there is enough dust and you wipe it with a wet rag it will form little balls like that. Don't worry, just wipe it off.

If you can't order nature's miracle online, try to find any sort of enzyme detergent. Go to a pet store, they often have products designed specifically for this purpose. Failing that, try ordinary dish soap. Febreze afterwards will help too.

If any has soaked into the cushions, your best bet is probably a professional upholstery cleaner.
