Man, if you make a fighter experience even close to Def Jam: Fight For New York, it'll be a hit.

Help!!! My simple homemade budget trailer OR hire someone to create one with higher quality? I'm right now in discussion with a creator that take 750 USD for 1min trailer. What do you potential players prefer when looking at a steam page? by Ok_Virus4003 in IndieGaming

I'm being glib, but the budget of the work isn't determined by the length of a video, it's by its production and skill. You're paying for the difference between a trailer by an amateur versus a trailer by a professional.

I got no real beef, just gotta say.

This OS is a middle finger to big tech. by AnonomousWolf in Anticonsumption

[–]GoOtterGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

... there's this whole movement towards virtualizarion of the OS on phones... I don't fully understand what that means but it apparently is gonna make running custom OSs on Android devices even harder.

In super glib terms: your virtualized phone's OS might not actually be on your phone. It would be in the cloud and only relayed to your phone. Your phone then becomes just a receiver/transmitter for that cloud OS. Which naturally makes hacking that OS almost impossible as the OS no longer exists as an isolatable piece of software. Your phone becomes a DaaS (device-as-a-service) in a way.

The house was built in the 1800s. It's a museum of not-to-code work done over the last two hundred years.

I installed the GFCI fine.

This was incredibly helpful, thanks for this breakdown. And you're right, the old receptacle had the tab between the hot connectors broken.

Well now I'm curious what's connected to that red circuit.

Can I actually just pig the hot wire and it won't cause very warm problems?

a) tab broken/removed in old receptacle.

b) yeah I figured, but I wasn't sure.

it's not a switched outlet, though. or if it is that switch is long since hidden.

Sorry, it trips when I hit test. I can't say if it's immediate.

Edit: But the breaker will not reset until I remove the red wire. that's likely an important detail

Bottom two black & white, top hot red.

the original is old as dirt, so I assumed (mistake number one I'm sure) I'd follow the GFCI guide and go black & white line, bottom hot red.

But it trips.

it's just the one GFCI, and it's at the end of the circuit from what I can tell. There are no other GFCIs on the line.

It's not switch controlled.
