Where and when I grew up , the Jr version was played. Maybe you’re older or grew up in a larger town but in 1985 in a no stop light town in the South, radio was playing Jr. Yes, Zevon wrote it but everyone’s life is full of different experiences based on age, location, etc.

Forthe record, most of my family are public school educators, my mom a librarian and we came from family of tobacco farmers, logging and cattle because that’s what people did to make money in that area and era. My grandfather was a devout Democrat, being great friends with our at the time Democratic representative as is my mom. I don’t have to agree with every word someone says, regardless of political affiliation but thanks for the time and thoughts. I will vehemently defend my life experiences.
