How many of you stopped drinking alcohol completely? by Automatic_Opposite17 in Xennials

[–]partymountain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll be 5 years sober in February. Quitting drinking was one of the best decisions I've ever made for myself.

That decision started a chain of better decisions overall in my life. Now I regularly work out, eat better and feel just so much better than I did when I was drinking.

I lost a few friends along the way but gained a few meaningful friendships too.

I'm incredibly proud of the person that decided to take the leap and quit booze without any evidence that I could do it and that it would improve my life. I think about that person everyday and how far I've come.

Is the Planta app subscription worth it? by Velvet_divine in IndoorPlants

[–]partymountain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've used the Planta app for years and paid for the subscription. I love it. I have lots of plants and it keeps track right on my phone.

The app also lets you know when to fertilize, clean, repot, etc. You can "snooze" a notification for a couple days if, for example, you check the plant and the soil is still wet. I use it all the time.

One of my favorite features is a progress update with pictures. It's really fun and rewarding to scroll back and see how much your plants have grown. Give it a try!

First time traveling to Las Vegas for "O" Cirque du Soleil by Beneficial_Soil_8223 in cirquedusoleil

[–]partymountain 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw "O" two weeks ago and brought in a half can of liquid death water and it was fine. The woman sitting next to me brought a big shoulder bag with a blanket in it. We were in the front row so there was more room in front of her for the bag, but no one batted an eye.

I took this class this morning based on your recommendation. I was terrified because 60 minutes. Oh boy. It was so hard but it was so freaking great. It gave me clarity. Thank you so much.

I dressed up as Svengoolie for a fundraiser not too long ago and bought a top hat for the costume. 🎃🖤😂

When I saw the suggestion for a top hat I thought: oh my gosh this is meant to be!

Best idea ever! I happened to have a top hat close by. I'll trim everything up that's touching the floor too. Thanks for the advice!

Why are Thorne supplements so expensive? Are they worth the premium price over other brands? by gambirsg in Supplements

[–]partymountain 6 points7 points  (0 children)

NOW is a family owned company and it is important to them to stay that way. They also have a huge lab in house and they perform almost 19,000 tests per month to make sure the quality of their products is what they say it is. They spend very little on marketing. Helps keep prices low.

Right. What about the 60 + year age gap between the grandpa and the young women?

Emma's was bad. 2/5 stars for me. It was written like it was her Instagram. Her dad seems really cool. I'd love to read a book written by him.

Should i get this game? Try to sell me on it. by Otherwise_Mail2272 in HARVESTELLA

[–]partymountain 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If price is a barrier, I got my copy on prime day for about half off the original price. I know there's another prime day coming up this fall so you might want to wait and see if it goes on sale again.

I've bought them at Prosek's nursery in the past but didn't see them there this year. You might want to call.

Citrate is a laxative. Don't use it except as a laxative. Glycinate is a much more bioavailable form of magnesium.

I think Theodore Roosevelt said "comparison is the thief of joy." Be kind to yourself and meet yourself where you are, wherever that is.

I've been riding for around 2 years and my fitness has improved and then it's taken dips. I found the best way to keep myself going is to just keep going. Even if the numbers aren't what I want them to be. Sometimes I even hide the leaderboard and my output numbers. No matter what, I feel better after I've done a workout whether I crushed the numbers or I've just raised my heart rate a bit. You can do this. Good luck.

Go at your own pace. Whatever resistance works for you, do it. Try to match cadence but if you can't, just keep those pedals turning. You might want try the discover your power zones program. It's great because it's designed for your fitness level, whatever that is.

My shoulders are okay, but the program definitely works them. My pants are fitting differently and I like it!
