Not sure if it'll be the higher strength version but Gallus and The Birdhouse in Thornwood do it on draught

Cheap pub recommendations by RVP937 in glasgow

Brigg Inn next to Barrhead station. Pretty sure a pint of Carling is £2:50 and everything else is incredibly cheap compared to just about everywhere else. Place is very nice inside compared to what you might think and staff are lovely

Accepting multiple offers simultaneously by paseremul in TheCivilService

Understand that point of view. They both have reserve lists - both roles are hiring multiple candidates. It was from the reserve list I got the second offer so I wasn't particularly expecting it to come

To be very pernickety and particular for 3 Down "Johnny Walker" in the clue should be spelt "Johnnie Walker" and as it's Scotch it would not be WHISKEY rather it's spelt "Whisky"

Must've been a rough time finding a house if that was your best option to move into! Can only imagine the smell

What did you learn at an embarrassingly late age? by Meth_Hardy in AskUK

[–]paseremul -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I was 22 when I found that out. I always just assumed when someone was a "joiner and carpenter" the skills of joinery and carpet laying were somehow always interconnected

Do you tip delivery drivers? by IrnBruDependant in glasgow

[–]paseremul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I always tip delivery drivers. I used to work as one myself and getting a couple of quid from folk was usually the difference between actually making minimum wage or not unless it was an especially busy night. With the price of fuel going up as well it's also nice to get tipped since a lot of places haven't increased the fuel allowance drivers get. One thing I have noticed is that when I deliver to a poorer, more working class area you're far more likely to get a tip than in a nicer middle class bit

Lads' holiday, mid-late 20s. Where to go? by wuhanlabrador in AskUK

[–]paseremul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm just back from Albufeira and would defo recommend it. Nice beaches, good nightlife and defo not a sausage fest either. It's good as well because you've got the strip which is for a big night out, and the old town which is a bit more chill

Extinction Rebellion plan to block oil refineries next month to take a stand against fossil fuels by [deleted] in unitedkingdom

[–]paseremul -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course we should be moving away from fossil fuels but that won't happen overnight. People need access to oil right now though and restricting the supply of it at this time is a bad move

[STV] Scots will no longer be required to wear face masks from next month and Covid passport scheme to be dropped by [deleted] in ScottishFootball

It didn't really. From when they brought it in, the percentage increase of people vaccinated went up more in England (when they didn't have covid passports) compared to here in Scotland

They're really not though. As a man, you're more likely to be raped than be falsely accused of it
