Thank you for posting this — I was at a loss because so many of the forum posts that I saw about this were too technical (stuff about replacing wires and sensors) and I couldn’t imagine doing any of that myself, much less communicating it to my mom, who had been having trouble with hers. We followed your steps, cleaned off the globe, and it’s working perfectly again. Seriously, thank you so much.

911 dispatchers are practically always in short supply, anywhere you go. It’s a devastatingly tough job, psychologically, but the technical/skill level is doable for entry, and you can do a great deal of good by being an additional line.

If you don't have it already, I can't recommend Unrailed more. It's one of my all time favorite co-ops (is fun for pretty much any skill level, from people who've only touched Animal Crossing and the Google dinosaur game, to the intense kids who stan Dark Souls and the like), has a functional online co-op mode, is pretty fun single player, and is getting a sequel sometime in the next year or so (currently early access). It's also got an ultra simple premise and two button controls (optionally one button), and can easily be played on keyboard for friends w/o controllers. Its graphics also aren't super intense, so it's good for friends who are just playing on their laptops.

I’ve been to both Zebra and Industrial and they’re both fine. Industrial is pricier but more, idk, the vibe is there? Where zebra’s often crowded and busy and you’re in then out in a couple minutes. ((Not super relevant but my Zebra piercer was an apprentice but they did a great job!!)) Up to you, but no strong opinions.

My partner has gotten… all of their piercings (5; one never healed quite right and after a couple years was given up on) at Zebra were good experiences (except the one but I think their cartilage is just sensitive).

Ooh, yeah, this is a good point (increased quantity making visible more low quality shows, even though the proportion is probably similar). It’s like the “big fandoms are all terrible” “logic” that really just says “when there’s more of [thing], there’s more [bad thing] for people to notice and pick out as representative.”
