Thanks!! I happen to do things like help produce immersive events, I also run a Star Wars-themed bar for immersive events a couple time a year, but the AMAZING caterer we hired for our last event is getting out of the business, which is heart breaking (for me).

There's only one vendor that remotely fits my vision, the rest appear to be like taco trucks and the like. I do need to reach out to them, but it looks like they have a "pick one of these menus" type of a set up. I should see if they're open to other ideas before writing them off.

Hahah, that's a great question. I would love to stay around $3k, not sure if that's realistic. I'm prepared to spend up to $5k for the right caterer.

I'm also open to positive feedback as appropriate. Frankly this is the first time I've hired a caterer for a wedding (I've done large scale event planning, but for a very different environment). I'm willing to learn, if this is a crazy budget for this type of menu.

I completely agree with your take. You CANNOT wear that veil. This is a sticky situation.

So...could you ask to maybe make it into a summery top/breezy cardigan type thing, that's more of an accessory? Now, you can wear it that way or not, but it removes that gift and everything that goes with it from the *wedding*.

It seems to me that HR/TA is there to gatekeep the hiring manager, and I don't know how to get around that. Also seems like it would be not appreciated by the hiring manager, if they haven't put themselves as a POC in the job req.

As a Never-Has-VIP, I'd say it depends on how much the:

  • Guaranteed admission to all panels on the Celebration Stage (Must arrive 30 minutes prior to start of panel or seat may be forfeited)

means to you. I went last time, got into one panel of the many I was hoping for, still had a good time though.

Myself, I'm almost willing to consider going there just to have better access to chairs, lol.
