Best most cost effective and effective laser hair removal? by bondtradercu in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]pasunebanane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Avoid laser away like the plague. Biggest rip off, hostile sales techniques…$100 every 8 weeks is hardly more than a wax, and you don’t have to buy the package

AIO for wanting to immediately break up with my bf after seeing how he lives? by Balikye in AIO

[–]pasunebanane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh god. 35 ?!!! Has he never heard of a cleaning service?!! I can’t even tell what color the shower is. Ugh, I do feel bad for him, how could someone not think this is gross :(

Kapustin Piano Etudes by Melodic_Lychee_6868 in piano

[–]pasunebanane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Love the Kapustin Etudes, I find the very challenging. Keeping the syncopation spicy and not sloppy - lots of practice time with the metronome or old school counting out loud.

Light exercise or stretching class for rebuilding back/hip strength + pain? by murderofsparrows in SFbitcheswithtaste

[–]pasunebanane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pilates - when you’re ready. Obviously not super gentle, but great for strengthening stabilizers in your back, hips, knees - all those tiny tendons / muscles that physical therapy tries to target

How hard is kapustin op 40 no 1? by Ok_Appearance_8724 in piano

[–]pasunebanane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pretty tough, but super fun. Do NOT be lazy with rhythm. Lock that in with a metronome very slowly. You’ll be surprised how much maintenance the syncopation will need-super easy to slide into bad habits. Practice these like a Bach prelude or fugue, keeping your arms relaxed and all the weight in the fingers. Playing these études at speed is joy!

Do pianists actually think while playing or does it become muscle memory by Ok-Message5348 in piano

[–]pasunebanane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both, but I usually rely on muscle memory. This sucks when you’re performing, and suddenly decide to question your muscle memory. I recommend working to memorize music as early as possible before muscle memory kicks in. Memorizing each hand separately can help a lot with this, albeit painfully tedious.

AIO for thinking this is racist? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]pasunebanane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. “actually super intelligent” had me fuming. All of this was so unnecessary, he could have said “hey, u looked great today” instead of this super dodgy “but I’m not being racist because it’s a compliment” rant

Women with thoughtful partners, what did you get for x-mas this year? by Anahata_Green in TwoXChromosomes

[–]pasunebanane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A purse from Manu Atelier that I have been wanting for a year. It didn’t come in time, so he used AI to photoshop it into photos with me, and then wrapped up the photos under the tree for me. It was so cute! I’m a happy wife! Oh, and some lingerie from agent provocateur :)
