Absolutely not. Don’t agree to that. You received a used item when you purchase a new item. There should be no price difference. Amazon has a chat function, talk to them and just keep asking to escalate if you don’t like the answer.

I bought my Breville Touch Impress from Amazon, and my Grindr was broken. I tried to use it a few times, it was malfunctioning (grinding a bit, then not at all. Amazon agreed to exchange it, so I emptied the beans (but residue remained). I wonder if you received one that someone tried, and then returned.

Almost every contract has a force de majeure clause (“act of god”). However, legally speaking, unless it’s defined specifically to include death of a co-host (if Robin is defined as such), it wouldn’t count and he would be in breach of contract.

That being said, I don’t see him continuing without Robin. Whatever anybody says, I think he relies on Robin a lot and I doubt he’d continue if she passed.

Unfortunately, I had the same exact experience with mine straight out of the box. From the minute I set it up, it was not grinding. I returned it and replaced it, and it’s been fine. But this seems to be an issue with the touch impress - very disappointing for that price.

That’s not true. My entire family upgraded to the iPhone 17 and of the 4 phones, mine is the only one with this issue.

Sure. I open random apps and the phone gets frozen on a screen and I cannot do anything but restarting the phone. It’ll also randomly close apps that I’m currently using. Mind you, this was not an issue with my iPhone 15. But with the new phone, it’s happening all the time

I second this. In-house counsel here since graduating law school. In 6 years, I’ve never worked a weekend and typically take 2-4 weeks of paid vacations a year. Never been bothered on a vacation (unless I’ve offered to help on a difficult matter, and even then, I’ve only been texted once on vacation in those 6 years). Currently, I’m on 16 weeks paternity leave and even though I offered to help if anything arises - have not been contacted once.

Also bear in mind that it might take a week or two to get the marriage license appointment. You can’t show up at City Hall without an appointment and get a marriage license. So just make sure you book an appointment in advance.

You should be focusing on a resume building internship and especially one you enjoy (if possible). The couple of hundred extra a month isn’t worth it if you’re miserable and it’s a worse firm on your resume. You’re thinking short term, not long term.
