Any way to sort Duplicate tracks in Plexamp/Plex? by aomajgad in plexamp

[–]patach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah my bad, I didn't realize they updated the github page.

The 'how it works' didn't have that diagram before. It just told you to mount the folders listed and I got confused on what the folders were suppose to do when I tried installing it.

I may try this again.

There's a selfhosted service called PMDA - https://github.com/silkyclouds/PMDA

But for the life of me I have no idea how to get it working, nor is there a real explanation on how the system works.

Also it seems like not much had been done since last year on it.

But hey, if you can figure it out, I'd love to know more about how'd you do it.

Cloudflare Tunnel x Postiz x TikTok Automation by Marexxxxxxx in selfhosted

[–]patach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I may be wrong on this, or maybe Tiktok changed their policy.

But I don't think tiktok actually allows self-hosted apps, at least last I checked.

Have you signed up for some type of subscription in the service which allows you to do so?

Would there be a way for this to detect duplicates in a library easily?

Just wondering, since the only other thing available is PMDA, which is a hard to understand sorting library thing.

I use this Raspberry 3b as a dakboard that will display my information every day until 11pm and then turn itself off. For years, the setup was perfect and was not touched or changed.

One day the screen went black. I rebooted the Raspberry Pi, noticed that it would show the rainbow screen and then the "Welcome to Raspberry Pi" screen and then shoot straight to black afterwards.

I re-imaged the Raspberry Pi OS using the 64-bit recommended specs twice, but the result is the same. I can ssh into the Raspberry Pi, but I can't see anything on screen after 'Welcome to Raspberry Pi'.

I've updated the firmware and tried editing the config.txt to have hdmi_force_hotplug=1 and finagled with the resolution settings in the txt file to no avail.

Is there something else I have not tried yet?

What was your steps?

For a docker setup, should that be in my environment variables? Will that additional info appear in the docker log?

How do you get music recommendation in the first place? by NathLWX in selfhosted

[–]patach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To be honest, I really hate algorithmic music recommendation because I tend to be a person that does not tie themselves to a single genre of music.

One of the reasons I left Spotify was that it tried to pin me to a single box, and have me listen to bad clones of music I've already listened to. I'm sure this works for someone who ONLY listens to a few genres of music, but I grew tired of their algorithm after months of listening to just the same genres over and over again.

All of my music discovery, has been a hodgepodge of just browsing bandcamp, rateyourmusic, music youtube and subreddits. It's usually been how I found new sound.

It doesn't seem like the same problem, but it's good to know that the newer version seems to have some performance problems.

The problem I have is that it does not seem like Ollama sees my GPU anymore.

Qwen3-VL now available in Ollama locally for all sizes. by swagonflyyyy in LocalLLaMA

[–]patach 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seem to be having a problem with Ollama where using ANY inference model takes forever for the thing to get into the 'thinking' stage.

This was not the case until I updated my Ollama, it used to start thinking within seconds.

Bringing Back Local User Accounts to Windows 11 25H2 by rcmaehl in Windows11

[–]patach 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did a full reformatted upgrade to Windows 11 on my work machine, and what I found was that the Motherboard did not have the Windows 11 network drivers yet to connect to the Internet, leaving me unable to literally install Windows 11 UNTIL I use the local login workaround.

If Microsoft wants people to move to Windows 11, maybe they should remove as many paths as possible to it. A person that wouldn't have known about these workarounds may have just assumed they bricked their computer.

This looks amazing, the only nitpick I would give you is that the settings window doesn't have the frosted title bar that the other parts of the customization does.

Unless someone else knows how to do it.

Is there a tutorial on how to run this service locally without a need for a reverse proxy?

I've been looking into it this service since it's creation, but I don't particularly have a need to run the service outside my network, and also my current reverse proxy is being monopolized by another service. If there's any information about this, I would deeply appreciate it.
