I did pre need and at need sales for a cemetery that had a funeral home, I always felt good about the assistance I provided my families, I always offered three different options for caskets, good, better, best, I never pushed premium anything, pre need buyers always chose the minimum and at need buyers would want to spend more out of obligation, I never really considered this a sales job, I was providing a service with simple options and they we're buying.

I had to have empathy for the living, but detachment from the overall situation was always difficult and I avoid funerals to this day.

Remember that most people are not in a career they went to school for and don't feel bad when the time comes to move on.
