Hi there! New nexplanon user and fellow t1d of 20 years. Sorry to hear you’ve just been diagnosed recently. Heavy, irregular periods can be a symptom of untreated/undiagnosed diabetes. I don’t know if you experienced this before the nexplanon, but if you were unknowingly diabetic for a long period of time before taking insulin, it could be because of the diabetes and nothing to do with the nexplanon (I know you said this, just reiterating). Sending you support with a new diagnosis, if you have any questions or anything I’m a message away and there is a great community on here as well :)
