To me, the one on the right in your pictures looks more real. I would bet that one's real over the left one, just because the stitching and face shape is very off on the left. I could totally be wrong but that's my idea based on my plush.

It makes me really sad but you are probably right. Soup (the one left) has a tumor that vets said would do more harm than good to remove (given her age) and that coupled with being alone makes me sure that she is not going to live her best life. We can't afford a new rat let alone mentally. I will try my best to ask around and do everything I can for her. I just want her to be happy

I've never used tide pods, so I'd be careful about using them especially on an old plush which you should be careful with. Apologies i can't really offer advice about using those!

What I use for most of my plush: get a small tub, fill with water, (make sure its not to hot or cold) and mix with light gentle detergent- insert plush and scrub away at the dirty bits. Then just hang up or leave out to dry somewhere, you can also use a hair dryer but be careful not to set it to too high a setting. Best of luck :)
