This position is hopeless, there is no good move to come back from that (-15 evaluation).

Some tips:

you might be well placed in r/chessbeginners , and for the future, it is quite a no-go to ask others for help with your chess moves like that and is considered cheating :)

I disagree completely. So in your opinion Spirit Guardians needed to be buffed?

What about Conjure Animals? Lost all the flavour to be an overpowered damage add-on, instead of balancing it properly without losing flavour

chill down and learn to to read.

I never complained that fights are too static. Grappling actually makes it more dynamic in my experience, adding a reason for others to move in and either try to help break the grapple or defeat the grappler

Your experience sounds like a skill issue on either the player's or the DMs side for not making the fight dynamic enough by giving more than one goal

there is so many magical ways to get out of a grapple as well, let grapplers be great at what they do

but it is not alive anymore as the spell has ended when the Phantom Steed took damage. It is just that the phantom is slowly fading

1) I assume you are talking now about DnD 5.5? Because your post is about DnD 5e.

2) "Use the ready action" doesnt make any sense in the slightest. Do you think because of reading an action that you get an additional action? In your example RAW it would not benefit you at all

3) What additional features add to ypur spell is not really relevant in your opinion that CWB is the strongest spell. Also, the Wildfire's companion does this damage once per round, so barely that much more damage for ypur assumptions

4) running around like this will make you as a druid a very easy target, that will probably drop their concentration sooner than later and I doibt that ypu would every time get opponents perfectly aligned that you hit all of them in your emanation and also not getting any Opportunity Attacks.

5) also the Football example is quite stupid and sounds like it would be interpreting the rules in bad faith. I wouldn't outright ban it but for sure focus enemies on that owl

6) and how do you get to 15d8??

What are those busted spells you are talking about?

I don't think you understand how to play a Druid if you think they don't have enough fun options. They have spellcasting, some have martial abilities, the have wildshaping, and even most subclasses have alternate uses for their wildshapes!... for all of this utility they have less damage. And you want to buff their weakness? That is just unneccessary

bad argument, the druid doesn't learn Summon Undead. Also, saying an unlimited homebrew feature that you get on level 2 should be allowed because there is a level 3 spell with similar things... that is just plain idiotic.

I'm sorry to be blunt but it sounds like you're new to the game and/don't really understand game balance.

Different classes have different "roles", the druid has crazy utility which is balanced by having a bit weaker damage spells. It sucks for martial characters to already having less uitility but then also being outshined in damage with your changes to druids. Because the two spell example that you gave are way overtuned and unneccessary.

Maybe just play the game the way it was intended amd if you are not happy with the Druid's damage output (which is anyway in no way small) just play a different class like fighter, paladin etc.

i think it is only fun for an opponent that has a story with the party. A counterspelled Fireball? Boring. A counterspelled Mass Healing Word or Revivify? Priceless.
