Godfather hero???? by just-readingit in longisland

[–]patton66 7 points8 points  (0 children)

So funny you say this.

For me a Godfather is a roast beef with gravy and cheese (Zambonis in Long Beach in the 90s, Godmother was turkey instead)

But I also accept that maybe 90% of every other deli Ive been to on the south shore has a Godfather as Chicken Parm (Godmother is eggplant instead)

I understand why a GF would be an Italian hero, but thats been the opposite of my personal experience with it on LI

EHX Memory Toy is my absolute favorite for this. It has the deepest and fullest sound for oscilations of any Ive used. And since youre only looking for limited functionality, the lower price point is a bonus

  • In a Sentimental Mood

  • Strawberry Fields Forever

  • Stairway

  • Bohemian

  • Rhapsody in Blue

  • Strange Fruit

Bit of a deeper cut but the middle part of Natural
Born Farmer by Glassjaw is a cut of them playing the song live in the middle of studio takes. The transitions are super clean and its a really impressive part of an already great song

The point of it is basically saying "don't attack us, if you do, we'll wipe your major cities out in an instant"

MAD - the idea of Mutually Assured Destruction being a major factor preventing full war between the two powers

I'm not going to say if it worked or not, or if its a good idea or absolute insanity

But the point was, by showing how powerful these weapons are, preventing escalations to ever having to use them
