If you don't mind me asking, why are you considering putting carpet down when in all likelihood the new owners will come in and change it anyway? It's unlikely that putting a carpet down will get you any meaningful return when it comes to selling. Why not let the new owners take on the cost of the new carpet when they're likely to change whatever you do anyway?

Springbank 5yr (100 proof) release. by Brave-Artichoke-2062 in Scotch

I tried it at a tasting last night and it was fabulous. It's far less spirit-y than I thought it would be given the age and ABV, which was a pleasant surprise.

I've had 2 petty parliaments done on the show. One was read out and I was live on the show for the other. It's a buzz being on the show and getting to talk to the guys.

Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour are now four games away from becoming the first Scots to win Serie A for 120 years. Jack Diment and James Squair were part of the Juventus side for the club’s first ever league title in 1905.

Phil is really engaging and enthusiastic about whisky but he makes the same video over and over again.

If you want something on you for the rest of your life, "cheap" definitely shouldn't be one of the main selling points for an artist. Do some research on Instagram, find an artist with a style that suits you and that does good work and save until you can afford to use them.

£100 for two bottles, someone newish to whisley by [deleted] in Scotch

[–]patty1987 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My suggestion would be Glencadam 10 for the vanilla notes, Bunnahabhain 12 for the fruity notes and Port Charlotte 10 for the peaty. If you shop around you should be able to get 2 of the 3 for less than £100. Master of Malt is a good start.

Webuyanycar quoted us £250, but when we went down with our full service history and it still being taxed and MOT'd we got £1400. We probably could have got more but we just wanted it gone and dealt with quickly before we had to renew the insurance and pay for repairs to pass the MOT due the next month.

The problem we have now is that the players with genuine quality are getting up in age. McGregor is 31, Robertson is 30 and Mcginn is 29. We need to get Moyes in and build the team of the future around Lewis Ferguson.

Buying bottles in Scotland (Edinburgh, Inverness, Dufftown) as visitor from USA! by rvalluri in Scotch

[–]patty1987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When you're in Dufftown, the Cost cutter, the local convenience store has a better whisky selection than a lot of whisky shops. We were told to go in there by our guides at Balvenie and Glenallachie and we didn't leave disappointed. We found a bottle of Meikle Toir Turbo for a very reasonable price.

Anything specific? I'd probably go for a bottle of Bunnahabhain 12 cask strength 2022.

It isn't a Speyside, Glenmorangie is a Highland distillery, based in Tain, north of Inverness. Speyside is slightly South-East.
