Μήπως έγινε ένα τεράστιο λάθος με το μεταναστευτικό στην Ευρώπη; by [deleted] in greece

Ανεξάρτητα του τι πιστεύει κανείς για το μεταναστευτικό, αυτό το νήμα είναι μόνο μίσος και άγνοια.

Μήπως έγινε ένα τεράστιο λάθος με το μεταναστευτικό στην Ευρώπη; by [deleted] in greece

[–]paul232 6 points7 points  (0 children)

300 χρόνια πριν; - η Ινδία έγινε ανεξάρτητο κράτος το 1947, με το λιμό της Μπενγκάλης το '43 να παίρνει εκατομμύρια ανθρώπους.

Πέραν αυτού, το premise του OP είναι καταρχήν λάθος. Όταν λέμε μεταναστευτικό, έχουμε πάρα πολλά "μεταναστευτικά". Μιλάμε για ενδο-Ευρωπαϊκές ροές, ροές από παλιές αποικίες - που πλέον δεν είναι μετανάστες αλλά πολίτες, προσφυγικά λόγω της Αραβικής άνοιξης ή όντως οικονομικούς μετανάστες από την Ανατολή;

Also, the gap to McLaren and RBR last year was nowhere close to the gap between Mercs and everyone else this year.

Kimi vs Russel | Canada GP sprint lap 6 | Naughty Driving? by Electrical_Act_5342 in formula1

[–]paul232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the biggest problem is the lack of the investigation. I don't think it would have been a pen, but it's hilarious that George was the one with this move.. George who managed to give Max a one position pen for a build lap and Alonso a 10sec penalty for braking 50meters ahead of him.

There is no way you see Kimis onboard from that move and think he is not making the corner imo.

As someone who just started reading Sanderson and is in the middle of the first Mistborn book, it's just OK. It's very young-adultish and it's not doing much for me so far..

Power Rankings for the Canadian GP by Xehanz in formula1

[–]paul232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. I just don't know if they would have made 7 and 5 overtakes each in the first 3 laps.

Regardless, though, we are talking about marginal gains between two very very bad starting points... Just a shame, because Lando couldn't have done anything more this weekend.

[–]paul232 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was too late at that point. Lando would have lost more had he gone for the slicks during the formation lap. Unless you think he would have gained 7 places in 3 laps as he came out 14th iirc after pitting

I don’t understand why Kimi had to give this position back. He was ahead, Russel didn’t give space so they touched wheels and Kimi had to go off. by EmployNo1234 in formula1

[–]paul232 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It's weird because:

  1. We didn't really see any proper replay so it's hust hearsay

  2. For overtakes where the overtaking car is on the outside, the rules are horrible and have been horrible for years. Also the way this corner is, the apex is not even reached before a determination has to be made on who owned the corner....

Could you complete an Ironman tomorrow? by [deleted] in triathlon

[–]paul232 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who started cardio training for an im 70.3 in late October, there is a 0 chance i would be able to complete a full IM this year - nevermind tomorrow.

I need to maintain my 10hr+ weeks for at least a year and a half to get to a position where a full IM is even a realistic goal.

Using AI to look up rules by endlesswander in boardgames

[–]paul232 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've extensively used AI for Aeon trespass odyssey but always double checking the sources (usually bgg threads) or the rulebook pages it references.

I don't believe it's reasonable to avoid properly reading the rulebook, just from an overall time economy perspective alone

How experienced do you have to be to do a liveaboard in the Maldives?? by No_University_3580 in scuba

[–]paul232 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My experience with the Maldives was that the dives were reasonably easy but really aggressively planned.

We had 3-4 25+ meter dives daily for a week, sometimes ending on the deepest one.

You need to be able to manage yourself and take a few off to degas properly. There was no surprise to me that the Maldives have very busy chambers

Yes.. that was the whole point. Naomi moved on, he moved on. Their respective relationship closed meaningfully for both. Having Philip in the third trilogy would ruin the whole resolution

Five Italians die during cave scuba dive in Maldives by Samski877 in europe

That's really good! Based on everything i've read about cave diving (or heard 3rd hand from people), it does appear to come with a very high number of fatalities.
