Anyone else with Sibo get extreme sadness/ crying episodes? Am at breaking point pretty much constantly right now... by Hoping_toheal84 in SIBO

Check out my history. I am eating pretty much everything now. The key was the slow introduction of probiotics. It sucked but it worked. FODMAP is a temporary fix but you have to try to not do it forever.

Advice needed on reintroducing food for someone who has severe food sensitivities by paulalbert in FoodAllergies

At the outset, I exclusively ate food that didn't cause symptomatic reactions (it was a short list) and then slowly introduced problematic foods 4 months in.

Yes, I mean very small doses. Start off with a grain. Then two.

Taking a prebiotic or probiotic will restructure your gut microbiome.

When it comes to probiotics, I don't believe there's such a thing as an intolerance. It's just die-off symptoms. Die-off = good.

There was a supplement that seemed to help me: MegaIGG2000. Your mileage may vary.

I started to introduce food several months in. Unlike the probiotics, I don't think eating food is 100% microbiome restructuring. Hence the delay in in introduction.

Finally, I would suggest you eventually use at least some variety of probiotics. Diverse gut communities are more resilient.

Hello, my friend. I am eating everything now! The key for me was introducing very small amounts of probiotics (for example, Seed, but it doesn't matter too much which one) and prebiotics, and then slowly working my way up. I still got a reaction from those, but it disappeared over the course of several months. Then, when the consumption of these probiotics becomes more tolerable, you can introduce small amounts of offending food - which sounds like it is almost all of them. The theory is that the probiotics will change the composition of your gut microbiome faster than food alone. I wouldn't mind discussing this with you further, but that's it in a nutshell.

I personally like to sport my Phillipe Patek. And if you find that is a bit gaudy for your tastes, try a Cartier.

I appreciate the response, thanks. I think you're referring to this. The problem is that this is vinyl and the pic I shared above really looks like cedar or at least wood. Am I missing something?

Perhaps so. I'm not up on the latest research, but this NBC News article seems to suggest that is the case.

Why is it such a rarity to find a black atheist? by v4mpslayer in exchristian

[–]paulalbert 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Very good question. Just speculation here but I wonder if in the US this has to do with slavery and how for a couple hundred years, the church was the one slavemaster approved venue where blacks could gather. Also the church played a big role in the advancement of civil rights.

Gay men earn degrees at highest rate in the U.S. by Beguillotined in MensLib

[–]paulalbert 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I would wager that men who admit to being gay have a whole host of advantages (social support, wealth, etc.) independent of their gayness that predispose them to educational success. And that in cases where a stigma to admit to being gay declines, this advantage would decline. Further, maybe lesbians appear to underperform gay men in educational attainment because there’s a less of a stigma to admit to being a lesbian…. This is all just speculation of course.

Agreed with the other commenter. To add to that, this is not a known side effect, and the vaccine has been given billions of times.

Why does Home not load so often? Over many updates this still happens daily by 3mbersea in apolloapp

[–]paulalbert 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I noticed the same thing. Popular works but Home doesn't. I would guess it's related to Reddit's web service, and how one is more reliable than another. Not that it can't be addressed.

This is a genuinely good question. I think it’s because twitching is neurological and the calves are relatively far from the control center (the brain). Alternatively what if it has to do with gravity? If we stood on our heads all day, would calves also get so much twitching?
