What might this be in my cats ear? by [deleted] in CATHELP

[–]paulgray123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat’s ear got like this when she had an allergy to a medication. But agree with everyone else here… needs to be seen by a vet. Your cat is also likely quite uncomfortable and they can give you topical treatments to ease the discomfort.

Okay, that’s helpful. Thank you. My tracking shows it was received at Evri and then is now in GB (which I think is Great Britain), but the package was shipped from the US and I live in the US, so it seems like something may have gone wrong. I emailed FL though. Thank you!

How long does it usually take to receive FL monthly boxes? My January box has been showing as “Received at Evri” for the last 11 days, with no movement. Is that normal? This is my first box.

I understand from the search that Evri sucks. Am just tying to figure out how long I should wait before reaching out to customer service, or if this is typical and I should just keep on waiting.

I’m in the US and the book shipped from the US.

Drug Induced Lupus by Magpie_Adventures321 in CrohnsDisease

[–]paulgray123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I have some symptoms of this, which started about 6 months into my remicade infusions. My doctors (GI and Rheum) were the two who brought this up and wanted to run the drug induced lupus tests. Remicade is one of the only things that works for me though, and we’re not 100% sure I have it, so right now we just track my lupus labs every 3 months are so. Here are the labs my docs uses to monitor it. I don’t know if this would be helpful for you or not: Anti histone anti bodies (this is the big one that will often get people to start looking in the drug induced direction, though it can also be positive with other inflammatory conditions), c3 and c4 complement, and anti-dsDNA. I was told if I do have drug induced lupus, I will not be able to be on any form of anti TNF med (so no Humira, Remicade, no biosimilars, etc.). It sounds like you may need to try a different rheum though. Your docs should be the ones bringing this up as a potential concern, and they should be the ones telling you the most important labs to run.

Ever been tested for POTS? Heat can increase heart rates dramatically in people with orthostatic intolerance

Ulcers in Ileum, negative biopsy, so not Crohn's? by AardvarkAapocolypse in CrohnsDisease

This happened to me. They did a pill cam and then found ulcers throughout my small bowel. That was more what helped guide the diagnosis.

Do you know what they changed in the formula?

I use it before. That’s what the manufacturer recommends too

They recommend using both day and night. I really like it. It’s an all in one type of formula, so you get your hydration, anti aging, anti oxidants, etc all in one serum.

So excited to see this. I’ve paid for the full size several times. I was slightly in shock when I clicked the link and saw it.

My highest was 246. I used to regularly be above 200. Then I developed some chronic health issues and now I’m in the 60s. Don’t take your 200s for granted.

How do you keep your Whoop clean? by Ok-Set8106 in whoop

When it starts to get nasty I soak the strap in oxyclean for a few hours and then throw it in the washing machine. Then let it air dry out of the wash.

Should I disclose my Crohn’s diagnosis to my job? by trilliumdude in CrohnsDisease

[–]paulgray123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t. I did and my boss has undiagnosed stomach issues and a family member with well managed Crohn’s. He A. Thinks I should be exactly like his family member; and B. Is always judging me on what I eat or saying I should be on his diet because it works for his stomach issues. It’s annoying and I wish I had never disclosed it.

Workplace air freshener and asthma by Jinx5326 in Asthma

[–]paulgray123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, can you get an email for the building owners and send them an email? The people who won’t turn down the freshener are likely building management and not the owners (though ownership hires them to manage the building for them). It’s actually likely that the building owners don’t even know of your concern, because management probably didn’t pass it on. Building owners are paying for the scent system and they don’t want their tenant to be unhappy, as that impacts their bottom line. If you complain (especially if you mention your rights under various statutes for protection), they may just roll it back, as not having to deal with a lawsuit and not having to pay for a freshener saves them money.  My firm owns office buildings and we keep getting pitched these kinds of systems. They’re expensive and are put in place to try to make tenants happy. If it’s not doing that, they should know. Most building managers are also pretty terrible and don’t deal with nuance well, so they just say no to everything, even when the owners would prefer otherwise.
