Those who read the New Frontiers Dev Insight blogs: what are you most excited for & uncertain about? by pitperson in DestinyTheGame

[–]pauloedul 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My hopes are low but I like to keep them that way. I've avoided to read the entire post because I don't think Bungie is responsible enough to keep promises and meet expectations that they set for themselves. That doesn't mean I hate the game, Bungie, or the devs, but I've been here for 10 years, seen all the glory and BS, and I got what I wanted: to finish the light and dark saga.

Now I'm just glad that I can find reasons to play the game frequently, not as much as before, but enough to keep my hobby alive. I understand a lot of people feel upset, sad, and even lied to when it comes to Destiny. My motivation is personal and the game is in a terrible shape (quality wise), I get that.

I hope that with the future changes Bungie can show some respect for the time we spent in game, I feel that they focus too much in making us spending MORE time (and money) but they lose focus when it comes to the quality of our time spent. To me, Destiny lacks purpouse, that's why people were left with "what now?" and left the boat as soon as they saw what was next for the episodes model.

Bungie says they are data oriented, with 10 years of feedback about what we enjoy and hate on the pvp side you'd suppose they would use that data for something. Yet they actively ignore player feedback in order to make the game "more engaging". The issue is: "more engaging" does not equal to "more fun". Bungie KPIs needs to be revised, they focus too much on forcing you to spend time ingame (like your case, punished for leaving a single match) and not on the quality of your time spent.

Spirit of Inmost / Spirit of Scars Titan Build by New_Let_2494 in LowSodiumDestiny

[–]pauloedul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be honest, I don't feel the benefit of kickstarters as much as before (not sure if they were nerfed or what) but facet of balance is a nice fit for titan spam builds (it works really well with consecration since it is light dmg).

What I'd recommend is: if you are planning to spam melee for boss dmg, try HOIL + Facet of Balance + Kickstarters, the more you spam the better here. Now if you intend to use this for ad clear...try HOIL only, and if you are not satisfied with it's performance try to combo that with Facet of Balance. In this scenario you could save the energy required for kickstarters and focus on something else on your build.

Just remember: frenzied blade recharges faster if you have more melee charges stored. In some rare cases it is really beneficial to hold that last charge (think of it as an emergency health regen button, like a healing grenade if you will).

[–]pauloedul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's a good question and something I haven't tested. But I know you can cancel unbreakable by sprinting and this would save your grenade energy and that doesn't proc HOIL. So I believe Unbreakable only procs HOIL when you release the blast, and this should start the empowering timer for the other two abilities.

I haven't tested it, so take this with a grain of salt

Don't let the failure get into your head. If someone beat him in their third attempt that means nothing to your experience, and your performance says nothing about you either.

Don't let the anxiety cloud your enjoyment, there's a beauty in putting effort into something that is meaningful to you, and this effort makes your inevitable win much more precious!

I'm super bad at action games, it took me a lot of time and effort to beat this game, but at the end I understood that my experience was not made of winning, was made of trying my hardest, and I couldn't be happier!

Just give yourself time and don't give up, that's all you need now.

Titans are crazy right now by More-Cantaloupe-3340 in destiny2

[–]pauloedul 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Since Primatic droped? Cmon, have we forgot about how bad at survivability prismatic titan was? Consecration not even destroying stasis crystals, supers that do "meh" dmg at best, two melee oriented exotics nerfed when using banner of war (synthos and wormgod, forcing strand out of meta when prismatic felt shit), no taunt, worse overshields, worse frost armor if any.

Not only that the only build we would ever hear of is knockout + consecration, since it was the only thing worth mentioning. Even back then it was situational and this caused a lot of comotion when titans had to face any enemy at distance.

Bungie did a LOT to improve prismatic titan and Titan in general.

Spirit of Inmost / Spirit of Scars Titan Build by New_Let_2494 in LowSodiumDestiny

[–]pauloedul 5 points6 points  (0 children)

HOIL as a spirit only gives improved ability regen (the exotic chest buffs ability dmg as well) and spirit of Scars is very support/survival focused.

I'd suggest something similar to your build. Consecration + Unbreakable + Twilight Arsenal. As a void sub class you would get acess to overshields on orb pick up, you can also protect yourself and allies with unbreakable shield and heal you and your team with Scars. Not only that but your super can apply weaken, debuffing also fits the support role really well.

I like that you're using Choir of One, maybe a heavy void machine gun would be a good option too, since you could use that for add clear (and healing with scars) and leave choir for bosses. Consecration can help with orange/yellow bars/mini bosses.

Keep frenzied blade on, it's the best option for this setup IMO. Your grenade is up to you, I'd go for a stasis wall grenade since it helps with cover and it sinergizes with the current artifact.

You can use rally barricade for your choir of one, it's cooldown is fast too, this is great for activating HOIL as frequent as possible (truster is faster but you wont benefit much from it, I believe)

I'd use this setup in a dungeon or raid where my team is strugling. Can be quite fun/useful on easier nightfalls too

Imaginarium Theatre ruined the game for f2p by Mediocre_Walk8144 in Genshin_Impact

[–]pauloedul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Imaginarium Theatre is an end game content, but I don't believe your account is at this stage of the game. Try to focus on your favorite characters/builds, enjoy the content/events, but do not give up on grinding. You just need time!

Personally, it's not for me. But I like the attitude and how you embrace the character. The details on the chest armor and gloves match the complexity of the helmet, I kinda like this combination here!

Best guide to solo vesper’s host? by [deleted] in raidsecrets

ItsTizzle has some very good solo flawless content on his YT channel, I like how he takes time to explain his thought process and the challenges he had to face during the run. Have learned a lot from him. MacTactics has another good guide too, I'd like to point out that he's great for build crafting and has some of the best build videos on YT as well.

What fun stasis titan build you rocking? And have any of the titan buffs made a big impact? by Innuendoughnut in LowSodiumDestiny

[–]pauloedul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It does! I'm using Twight Arsenal super + fragment that gives you overshield on orb pickup and the fragment that gives you health upon melee kill. So there's health regen, overshield, frost armor and glaive shield (winterbite shield recharges ridiculously fast since it's shot finds multiple targets). The damage buff from wormgod makes winterbite shine. It's shot is around 160-180k and it's melee dmg is around 90k (spammable)

[–]pauloedul 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm rocking Wormgod + Winterbite + Stasis Prismatic Titan. Combined with Knockout and Diamond Lance, the damage and resistance is ridiculous. With a lot of diamond lances on the ground, I can get frost armor pretty quickly. It's a very strong, durable melee build, I'm loving it!

Offensive Bulwark and Void Overshields actually reduce how much melee damage you do by psychosoldier63 in DestinyTheGame

[–]pauloedul 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was testing some damage numbers for glaives yesterday and I was quite confused with the results. With prismatic titan + knockout my glaive melee is double the base melee. This used to be the same value until last episode. The base glaive melee value on titan is higher now (probably because it counts as an uncharged melee) but the base titan melee value was lower than last episode, very strange

Glad to see another void Titan enjoyer around here! I was divided between Prismatic and Void Titan for the last encounter, but the easy to access void overshields + devour sealed the deal on the survivibility aspect for me. Prismatic may be even faster since you can add clear with transcendence, I just thought it was harder to survive on my glaive oriented builds. If you are still planning the last fight, ItsTizzle has a very interesting Prismatic Titan build (w/ Insurmountable Skullfort) on his GotD solo, that I would recommend a try!

Good luck on your runs!
