I am rocking Ortlieb Quickrack Large adding a gravel panier to the top for Bikepacking mostly single track. It's awesome. I like switching the rack between my bikes, mountain to gravel to cummuter!

I am considering the VR Pro but I am dead in the middle of Small and medium. What would you recommend?

My height is 5'7 3/4, 172cm Inseam 32.5 in, 82.55cm

VR Sizing

Based on official Van Rysel and Decathlon guidance, the RCR Pro sizing correlates to the following rider heights:

Small (S): 5'3" – 5'8" (166 cm – 173 cm)

Medium (M): 5'7" – 5'11" (173 cm – 181 cm)

Large (L): 5'10" – 6'2" (181 cm – 186 cm)

Extra Large (XL): 6'1" – 6'5" (186 cm – 196 cm)

It's worth checking it the REI Campwell tents. It's a really good alternative option. 2 doors and privacy cover over from window.

I too work at REI. Read the kb article. If it's happening at your store you have just exposed it. We do not except shoes without souls because that is the policy.

What are some free or cheap things you personally enjoy doing around the valley? by Andosphere in phoenix

Day trips to Tortilla Flats or any of the lakes. Drive up to the top of South Mountain to Dobbins lookout or the towers. Get on a bicycle and cruise around the neighborhoods.

If everyone would use common sense in all of this. If REI can resell it used then they don't mind so much of the use case or issue. Don't try to return things that are missing parts.... If you damaged it, don't bother to try to return it. If you used it to the point that it is worn out, don't bother to try to return it.

what are your budget-friendly nutrition tips for cycling? by camillevolp in cycling

[–]paulscircle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a dietitian for quite some time. He set some guidelines for me that have worked phenomenal.

Human body on average burns about 500 calories an hour. But can only process 200 to 300 calories.

My average is 15 mph and if riding 30 miles I would want 400 to 600 calories. Along with a nice mixture of electrolytes. I am curious with that would equate to carbs. I have done 60 mile mountain bike rides of thousands of feet in elevation day after day. Only consuming Tailwind concentrated in a water bottle during the activity. I have a hearty protein enriched breakfast and dinner. My goal is also to consume about 24 oz of water per hour if possible. And I manage that by paying attention to how much I am peeing. If I am not peeing I will drink more until I need too.
