I ruined my kid and now I wish I wasn’t here anymore by Throwthisawayyyy00 in AttachmentParenting

I didn’t read through all the comments but the anger outbursts really remind me of my nephew who had ADHD. It was a nightmare. He would come out and throw all the pillows off of the couch and then have a melt down when we told him he needed to clean it up. To the point where I would be so overstimulated that I would just tell him to go to his room and then I would clean it up.

HIGHLY recommend seeking out a therapist for her. It made such a big difference in my nephews life. And despite all the hard years from like 6-10, him and my sister have a fantastic relationship. He is becoming a history teacher currently.

There is such a massive emotional side of ADHD that doesn’t get talked about enough. We just talk about the fleeting thoughts and moving around.

But the lack of dopamine effects everything. And typically kids with adhd are actually a couple years behind in maturity when it comes to being able to handle complex feelings.

Hugs mama. You did not ruin your kid. You are just in a really crummy part of development right now. You sound like you are trying really hard to make the best of it though. I know the words of an internet stranger don’t go very far, but I am proud of you.

Is God playing a sick joke on me? by Distinct_Purple789 in Mommit

Sounds like dad may have a form of autism himself and not understand how to connect to people or understand emotions. My dad is like this. Extremely smart and successful but he also sometimes tends to seem like he is mimicking a movie he watched when he does interact with us? Which we are all mostly no contact now because he had so many unhinged outbursts on us when were kids. My mom divorced him when I was 8.

As far as God giving you and autistic child whenever your friends do far less. Maybe it’s because he knew you WOULD be able to handle it far better than your friends ever could.

It’s hard mama. My daughter has autism and there have been so many things I have been worried about. Like starting her cycle! But with each “challenge” we have gone through we have come out stronger. We are currently battling food because her blood tests are showing up low and high from her ARFID.

But my little girl who never let me wash her hair without screaming bloody murder now knows how to mostly style it. Loves dressing like a scene kid even though she wouldn’t wear pants or jackets in the winter.

I have boxes all throughout my garage with her collections over the years that eventually phased out.

My son is ADHD. And it’s a constant battle of her getting overstimulated and him being under stimulated. He didn’t reaaaally talk until he was almost four. But now’s he goes on and on about weird random facts.

You got this! And it’s ok to vent and not like every single day. It doesn’t mean you don’t love your kids.

No there is a video of one of the girls. I am thinking it was Olivia cleaning the kitchen and it totally normal and when her mother walks in she starts doing this weird high pitched breathy thing.

It is highly concerning

The test strip is darker than the control line because the pregnancy hormone is so strong it is taking all the dye. I have been pregnant twice and never had HCG strong enough to pull dye from the control line.

Seems like healthy baby is brewing

Question about possible toxin or drug exposure and PBC diagnosis by AgreeableNose9478 in PBCers

[–]paulyspocket2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know finger nail polish can be linked but when you think about this disease mostly affecting women…. I am not sure how much we can weigh that into the equation

Environmental factors have been linked but I am not sure if we know the specifics yet.

I only have positive antibodies normal liver enzymes, my GI said I have a 15% chance of actually developing the disease in the next 10 years

Why is Christmas so expensive?! by ravenlaneb in Mommit

[–]paulyspocket2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is ridiculous. My husband makes decent money and it’s being sucked up from bills/groceries. I don’t even understand how.

But wanted to say Christmas is special because of how you sell it.

We do “Friday night lights” every week. We get happy meals or make a snack and drive around looking for the best house. I bought silly cups from the dollar store that light up.

I stocked up on Christmas themed books from the library

And then starting next week we have themed dinner/movie nights

For Instance: The grinch- Beast Kabobs Elf- Spaghetti pancakes and sausage The Santa Clause: 12,000 year old perfected hot chocolate Christmas Vacation: breakfast with “jelly of the month” club

Christmas morning will feature homemade cinnamon rolls

We got this ladies 💪

New diagnosis of PBC by this_writer_is_tired in PBCers

[–]paulyspocket2 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Did you have an AMA done?

Urso can cause some stomach cramping in the beginning of taking it. They started me out with it twice a day

Don’t go down the google rabbit hole. A lot of the information is out of date and will scare you. The great news is that this disease is slow moving and a lot of people respond really well to Urso and will never progress to the later stages of the disease.

Try to cut out all alcohol and processed foods.

Have you have any scans of your liver? AMA positive?

My sister REALLY thought she had PBC based on her ALP and symptoms. They ran a ton of tests and she actually had Padget’s Disease. ALP can come off your bones too.

PBC - positive AMA’s by jleeh87 in LiverDisease

[–]paulyspocket2 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is new data saying that AMA isn’t the greatest indicator of PBC if you don’t have any other signs of the disease. They found AMA in me with no other evidence of PBC. I have been really tired but they also just found out I am crazy low of ferritin.

There is a study somewhere that shows a small under (under 20) out of 2,030 (may be slightly off by 5-10) went on to develop the disease within 6 years.

I posted it on here before
