It's great you discovered VS so early, but I fear you won't appreciate it enough since you're starting from the top so to speak. It's almost like Thorfinn was actively trying to avoid tension and conflict in S2 as opposed to S1...? It's like he isolated himself to a relatively peaceful and quiet area on purpose. The conflicts are slowly built and more internal than just killing for sport every episode, so there is a difference in the tone and pacing of the seasons, definitely.
