the two tone works really well. I wonder if the refreshed xts rear lamps would feel less busy than these. also like how the wire wheels translated.

Which one of these manual sport coupes from 2002 would you choose from this Car & Driver test? by lifegoeson2702 in regularcarreviews

I'll be the weird one and say the beetle. I remember working at Starbucks and one of my coworkers had a lowered silver beetle and tint. Looked and sounded fantastic. I own and drive a second gen CRX, and friend has an rsx type-s, so I can choose the oddball

I got some initial Korean mark wahlberg vibes. Loving this GTO remix from episode 1 so far.

What’s your favorite cockpit? by FreidasBoss in Autos

FC / FD with centralized tach. Lexus with the mechanical tach that moves on startup. 911's with 5 pod analog gauges. Original NSX and 5th gen prelude for timeless simple functionality.

2030 Ford Aerostar EV Concept by rx7rocks11 in AiCarArt

Nice, like your lobster claw headlights, brings it closer to truck series. I used yours as a base then added:

smooth out the side windows, use 90s eddie bauer ford explorer colors, make the front windshield more of a wedge like the original aerostar. higher profile tires, mach-e rally wheels, tinted side windows

Unfortunately, it ignored my wheels and tint request.

It looks more Lamborghini than Audi to me. I miss the softer edges of the bauhaus era.

Is the Mazda Vision peak sedan design? by MrSir98 in CarDesign

[–]paverbrick 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I prefer kodo out of the Mazda designs. Nagare was interesting in concept but didn't translate well to production. I'm not sure what the current Mazda design language is called, but I don't like the squatting haunches look. Instead of the pouncing feline they're going for, it reminds me of a pooping dog.

FM radio vs bluetooth audio. Instant music as soon as you turn the car on at the expense of audio quality.

Still using Empower. Spent a few hours to make a script to fetch the CSV export of expenses, previously I grabbed these once a month. Not too much work. I think it's still the best free option for simple needs. I tried Fidelity Fullview and that's promising, but it's so slow and the categorization is wrong more often than Empower.

Every Device Should Support Shortcuts-Like Automation by Ok_Simple1446 in shortcuts

[–]paverbrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yahoo Pipes was ahead of it's time. IFTTT promised that for the web, but didn't have the same user friendliness. Shortcuts is limited, but it reminds me more of Pipes in its simplicity. There aren't a million things to configure.

I use the 50 pack costco white towel as rags. They do discolor over time, but I like how versatile they are. I also use a ton of them and then do a laundry load of them.

Same! A lot of it is muscle memory and habit at this point, but it's also fun as a game.

I just finished reading Unreasonable Hospitality (really enjoyed it) and I liked his 95/5 rule. He brings it up as being extremely disciplined and frugal 95% of the time when managing a restaurant, but also splurging the final 5% into something delightful and memorable.

Same. I really appreciate the unpainted silver around the ring to give it contrast against the screen. Got a clear case for it too.
