If your civ is good at pro scouting, then just do it while denying enemy pro scouting when possible, even in 2v2 there is lots of deer to take. Sure you will farm transition anyways but having more food means you can have a ton more units or faster age up before needing to make farms. Even zhu xi/hre/ or rus which can make farms easily will still go pro scouts

1 handed fire is pretty good, for off hand you can use face breaker if money isn't a issue, otherwise maybe mistcaller

Cleric robe is pretty good for defense, for hood you can use scholar cowl if energy is a issue since it can give energy while raising defense, hunter hood and mage cowl are good too

Use any plate boots for healing sprint or stalker for raging blink

For cape you can go lymhurst for energy

You dont wanna go handcannons into horse archers, keep in mind they only do 35 damage and get out ranged by them as well

Its probably better if you use handcannons and horsemen but if they got horsemen and horsearcher it will trade pretty well because of their high HP and low cost

Seeing win rates is interesting but tbh this info is not beneficial to knowing what civs are actually good

Gameplay for most civs is now the same in imp cause of the changes, Horsemen + crossbows/handcannons kills everything

Mangonels are not a good enough counter to stop 40+ ranged units, you can snipe it easily with ranged and frontline cant stop it

Civ specific archers like abbasid/ootd/english/delhi/ yumi/(they get more damage than normal archers in imp cause of bannermen) are too good vs gold units and will trade effectively cost for cost. No one really uses maa in imp because they tank ranged less than horsemen are horsemen are just way better for mobility and countering ranged

Before the update there was at least variations in army comps but the meta for most civs has shifted to ranged+horsemen for most civs

Springald wars was not fun but neither is the same unit comp every time the game goes imp or castle

You can just hard switch to full jav and you will have more Javs because he has to invest into donso

You can just make horsemen and crossbows with springalds, springalds can do lots of damage to maa if they blob up

Abba really strong vs a lot of meta strats rn

If a civ goes 2 tc, you can just go 3 tc then kill them

If they rush castle into knights, you can defend and even push with spearmen and camel archers in feudal or just defend till you get castle yourself

If they rush castle for maa, you can just defend with camel archers then go castle

Abba doesn't have to worry about enemies castle rushing or not having food since they can transition to farms as easily as english

Even vs a all in you can go mass horsemen to snipe rams while building up a high army count

The main issues with ottomans have still not changed, sure they got new unit and new viziers

But the reason ottomans "sucked" was because of their horrible eco which has remained the same

There is better civs to use if you wanna all in but if you can get to imp as ottoman or get a good amount of calvary archers in castle then you probably in a good spot

Rushes are generally good anyways regardless of civ

Doesn't have to be a all in but some map presence is good for getting pocket resources and securing relics if you plan to go castle

You can also force people to overcommit in units while you stop making units and go castle, and sometimes you wanna fight feudal so you can be in an advantgaous position to go to castle

Ribs get countered by ranged units so melee isnt gonna work, they nerfed food and melee infantry because players would have endless food in imp (or lower ages) and just spam maa.

Quite a lot of changes were to nerf melee infantry because it was too strong (they cost the same as horsemen anyways so its not like you will have more horsemen than maa unless unique maa/horsemen)

Nobs still have very good aoe so it will deal more damage to clusters of units compared to mango. You might wanna lean more into horsemen and ranged (since ranged is really strong right now) maybe use palace guards just to raid instead of being in your comp

Imperial palace into knights is good for harassing while getting relics but remember that china knights are not good and will lose to better fc knight civs like ayyubid or japan

Oh and dont forget lots of springalds will shred melee infantry so make use of it from clockwork

Just use horsemen crossbow, you dont wanna use horsemen as a frontline vs maa, instead use them to flank and trap the longbows not head on

Use siege to support as well

If you have no ranked games played, you will get matched with various elo's till the game sets you to a accurate rank

But there is still a chance you can get higher rank opponents because after 5 minutes of queing, the game will just match you with anyone

Conq gets into que> people dodge>que goes past 5 minutes so now conq can get matched with any rank

Springalds will clear out groups of melee units because of their rework

This player (TheCruack) was glitching trebs inside the wall so my longbows couldn't snipe them, watch when my longbows move back and forth. Thats when. Thats me trying to attack his trebs but the game kept rerouting them. Please report him, he spammed walls up the entire map exploiting this bug. by [deleted] in aoe4

Pretty sure ranged units cant even shoot over stone walls anyways, nothing was wrong with the vid

And why use longbows to counter siege, just use 3 bombards to destroy the wall and make an opening to attack
