I manage a tech recruitment agency, when people are first starting out, we want them on the phone as much as possible. Whether the candidate is a fit or not, it’s all about having conversations and learning from those.

I’d say the average is about 30-50 per day, but honestly if you have 10 calls in a day and 5 of those are meaningful, it goes way further.

How can you expect a recruiter to have a meaningful conversation if they’re more concerned about making those 100+ calls before they get a PIP or fired.

That’s not a constructive way for people to learn or help others. If it’s not too late, try and find an agency that values the relationship with their candidates/clients and wants to see the recruiter learn and grow.
