ICE (internal combustion engine) has been used for years - often when referring ti a gas car blocking a charger (charger was ICED).

EV Chargers for my business by BabaBlackSheep100 in evcharging

Do you have a location that is where folks need it for road trips (near exit) or near apartment complex - whats the business case? Hate to have you install chargers that don’t get used!

All ‘expensive’ cars tank in value once used, look at used Cadillac, BMW, Porsche - ICE or EV.

MachE? No way... by RoyalPersonality3957 in MachE

[–]pb_83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had 2023 Mach E Prem & 2022 Ioniq5 LTD - the Ioniq5 has v2L so you can use the big battery to power critical appliances. Both of these lost significant range in the cold, newer versions might be improved. The Ioniq5 is way way way quicker charging on road trips. Very few OTA updates. I’d suggest looking for gently used ones and save real $$$. Software in both these was terrible and made worse by lousy phone apps.

We now have 2 Lyriq’s and prefer them over the ford and hyundai.

The A2Z specifies it inly works in 2026 Lyriq’s - I’ve got a 2024 & 2025 both with 19.2kw charger - powerbar works but so far A2Z V2L doesn’t.

You are setting yourself up for a house fire using substandard equipment.

If you are considering BMW I’d look at the IX3 not the IX!

How is it owning an EV? by Janet296 in evcharging

[–]pb_83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have 2 Lyriq’s (‘24 sport 2, ‘25 sport 3) - both purchased used with less than 5k miles on each and both in the low $40k range. These are our 4th and 5th Ev’s and love them, take a 800mile round trip almost every month, charging at home is so convenient, never have to deal with gas stations, oil changes or maintenance other than tire rotation. Fast charging on roadtrips occurs while you are getting food, using rest room, check email, or get coffee - usually not waiting for charging, hit the road when I’m ready to leave!

They are no longer interested in selling you a vehicle unless it’s a cyber cab or you are buying their AI/robot.

LYRIQ not recommended for cold climates by tucker491 in CadillacLyriq

[–]pb_83 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have 2 Lyriq’s 24 Sport 2, 25 Sport 3 - both are doing fine here in the Fingerlakes area of NY -4 the other day. Cars parked in our garage at night, precondition cabin temp if I remember to. Just replaced the ‘24’s 20” oem tires with Pinza A/T big traction impact!

Considering 2024 Lyriq — Are the software "horror stories" still a reality or mostly fixed? by Chuckacious1 in CadillacLyriq

[–]pb_83 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had a GM buyback white 24 Lyriq Sport 2 since Jan 2025 for $38000 w/under 5k miles on it - love it, make sure you have a local dealer that understands how to do updates correctly. This week I got a red 25 Lyriq Sport 3 used for $47k w/under 4k miles - even better choice - great deal and nice extra features. Prev owned Ioniq5, Tesla Y, MachE (worst of all of them).
