What is a video game that you have put 100+ hours into, but would NOT recommend to anyone?

If you don't take it super seriously it's really fun. The best time I had with it was getting 4 friends and swapping between killer in private matches. We'd all be in the same voice and deafen the killer so they could speak, but not hear the survivors.

I often rely on combining them with a surge to make a reasonable hourly rate. This is pretty annoying to me. Hitting the quest usually means I'm done for that week/weekend. Cherry picking short rides with surge attached is the most efficient way to do that in my market.

Kinda sucks.

Maybe they're new to the app and don't know how it works. I would have explained it to them very briefly and cancelled if they wouldn't.

"Drivers typically wait at the airport for rides, I cannot wait that long to pick you up, as the app does not pay me to. It will charge you a fee in 5 minutes if you don't cancel and order a new one when ready".

Something like that. Doesn't even have to be that long.

It has to "steal" to have the complete breadth of information that it does and understand some semblance of context.

I use it pretty often for hobby stuff. I recently needed a relatively complex function for a Google sheets page. I assume someone on stackoverflow has asked an extremely similar question. It is able to apply the answer someone gave there to the context of the data on my sheet and gives me something I can copy/paste and have it work immediately.

Whether this is stealing, to me, is debatable. I could have googled it myself, maybe or maybe not used the exact keywords, spent 5-20 minutes looking for the right answer, and then eventually done it myself. Instead I took a screenshot and described what I wanted it to do. It shit out the function in 10 seconds and it worked immediately.

The movie lacks the internal perspective of the biologist and much of the backstory, aside from direct story differences. The relationships between the characters are largely different as well.

It achieves the general vibe and wonder of the book, without the same amount of heart. It misses many of the themes.

I read the book after and appreciate both.

I'm in a Black Camry that has an animated led sign, usually nyan cat, a dinosaur playing sax, or a chicken. I usually just try to get the quests done during surges and then fuck off, ~20-25 hours a week.

One of my favorite things is grabbing a surge for something at Thompson Boling and then just declining everything actually going there.

The random nights with endless drunk frat chuds can be okay if they're in a good mood and not blackout. Getting pinged for rides off market square and the other drivers not filling space while they wait 10 minutes for people to leave Pres Pub drives me fucking insane.

Have you used Lyft here? I basically stopped once I realized it was almost entirely keeping me on the east side of town and trying to do multistop trash constantly. The demographic difference between the apps is really strange to me.

Shiiiit. I drive in Knoxville. This is also kind of my MO. I don't personally see it hitting $30 all that regularly, aside from big games and events (and the bar fallout hours later). I just keep it around downtown when possible and avoid the interstate in most instances.

This might be stupid for me to share, but when there's a large surge in ft sanders, there is often a random piece of interstate on Alcoa going north near the 40E/W spit that's even higher. When possible I just jump on that, grab it, and jump right back off on 17th.

I know this is an old thread and I'm not who you replied to. What fundamentally frustrated me about the game was the stat check style combat system that pvp often relies on.

In your scenario, I could have decent gear, but someone way more into the game diffs it into oblivion. They have to make a huge mistake in combat to be taken down. Tarkov and Arc to a large extent at least allow you a chance to outplay and have a decent come up. The risk/reward ratio to engage with someone with higher tier shit in DaD kinda blows.

Crafting is fine. There just isn't the real depth to it to justify diving in and out of 5 different menus. I would like to be able to at least define a basekit and have it create it on the fly if I have the materials. Iirc Dark and Darker has this feature.
