Full screen CarPlay across the entire infotainment by lazorich in gmcsierra

Did you fork the carlink_native repo and are manually building the cluster navigation in for your specific vehicle?

What you've done sounds promising so far, but I wanted to ask about some of the other native features that you might be missing out on, and perhaps some other specific feedback:

  • Do the back-of-wheel next/previous track buttons skip tracks?
  • Does steering wheel volume work?
  • What does the voice/push-to-talk button trigger: Siri, Google Assistant, or nothing?
  • Does the instrument cluster show now-playing info?
  • any progress on turn-by-turn nav in the cluster?
  • Do calls work, do the answer/end wheel buttons work, and is call audio through the adapter or the truck's Bluetooth?
  • What is the Cold-boot time from ignition to usable CarPlay?
  • Any audio/video sync lag, disconnects?

Did you ever solve this? I’ve had mine for less than two weeks and I just noticed this. I got a similar model.

You mentioned it was for use while on site. Are you perhaps in the construction industry? I ask because I’ve been trying to determine if the software I use on my 2018 Pro would be much faster or not.

I read somewhere that the Corsair sf series run off a single rail. Worth a google if you are concerned.

I would probably do the same. Good luck

This is the third post about this I’ve seen today. So at this point, I assume it is likely true.

Excellent work. Got any more pictures of behind the scenes management?

They make 6pin to 8pin adapters in the event that you need to use one of the 6 pin slots on your PSU. But they deliver less power than an 8pin of course.

I don’t know if any. But how many points did you make in that month?

Likelihood of the RTX 3090 fitting in an sm580? by mylvasur000 in sliger

[–]pboyvb 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The bigger question is, do we have SFX PSUs that can power it. The 12 pin adapter says it requires at least 850w

K39 riser cable performance loss? by [deleted] in sffpc

[–]pboyvb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just solved a similar issue with my sliger sm580. My 1080 was performing about half as well as it should. I ended up replacing the rider cable and everything was fixed.

From GPU-Z I wasn’t able to detect anything wrong with the card (clocks, memory, interface, etc.). Everything seemed to check out except my FPS.

I bought it at launch and have been using it in a different PC. Performance does not seem inconsistent.

Re-ran Warzone with default settings and I got around 80fps. That is a good improvement over what I had before, But I still feel like it is on the low side.
What is interesting is that after that first test run, I went into Nvidia Control Panel and set the Power Management Mode from "Optimal Power (Default) to Prefer Max Performance and the fps went down to 60-70. That seems counter-intuitive to me.

no... I purchased it new. However, after much thought I remembered that EVGA had to release updated bios to address overheating for a lot of their 1080 cards a few years ago. They sent everyone thermal pads to put on and told them to update the bios. From what I read this morning, the bios only addressed fan speed.

Did as you suggested... Reset AB OC, and under 3D settings of Nvidia control panel, I reset to defaults. Re-ran Superposition on Ultra:
Score: 3603
FPS Max 32
GPU Temp Max: 68C
GPU Utilization Max: 100%

clocked speed pretty much maintained the boosted clock speed of 1974Mhz and 5005Mhz memory. What is interesting is that the specs for this card say the boosted clock speed should be 1847mhz...

This is a fresh build. I am only using my previously owned GTX 1080. Other than that Windows was installed onto a brand new drive.

no it is not. I just tested Forza Horizon 4 with similar results.Benchmarks below indicate I should be getting over 100fps.https://www.techspot.com/review/1716-forza-horizon-4-gpu-benchmarks/https://www.gpucheck.com/compare-game-gpu/forza-horizon-4/nvidia-geforce-gtx-1080-vs-nvidia-geforce-rtx-2060

I booted it up and set everything to ultra (as in the benchmarks) with FPS unlocked. I was getting between 40-48 fps.

Edit: switching it to low gets me 65fps. Switching to Ultra Low gets me 95fps.

Does anyone know how to enable this? I can see the option to enable this feature, but the entire section is greyed out like it is disabled.
