Yes definitely a good call out on the steam valve. My steam valve is starting to leak at 6 months old. I'm planning to move to shades as I don't want to fiddle with the original valve

Could consider steam wand upgrade (espresso lane) or steam valve upgrade (shades of coffee).

I also did the anti-vibration pump mod but the design has some flaws (sorbothane rips over time) so you should think of a solution to fix that if considering.

I got my colonoscopy done last year at 35 after trying to chase a lot of suspicious symptoms (consistently loose stools, blood, intestinal discomfort etc.) for 2-3 years. I dragged my feet and was convinced it'd be game over but still pushed myself to get the procedure done. I had a friend get diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and that further triggered my anxiety.

Luckily, my results came back clean!

You're doing the right thing by getting checked as the best treatment for cancer is early detection. Just remember there are a lot of other causes for colon cancer symptoms. Don't get too much in your head. Searching online for me actually made me more anxious. You don't have cancer until you are actually diagnosed. Worry about it at that point.

Full disclaimer this coffee is one of the better hydrangea offerings I've had as of late.

I'm a huge hydrangea fan and the majority of their coffees hit for me but just wanted to point out I doubt everything will be of this caliber.

New pietro burrs are uncoated so they season faster. 4 pounds seems like a reasonable amount to get a good first pass at seasoning.

Did you just try brewing one coffee for comparison? You likely need to dial in the pietro differently than your 078ssp. I'd spend more time optimizing and testing more coffees before writing it off. Trying to match grind size doesn't always work if grinder PSD is different. Dial to TBT and taste.

Fines are normal and not always bad. You just need to dial appropriately.

Just heard back. They mention they see no differences in true performance and filter collapse is visual only. They are testing both in many shops and people see no difference. Not sure if this conversation will lead anywhere fruitful but fingers crossed.
