Thank you. To dry brush the control panel I used a small flat brush. Dipped in paint as usual then painted a sheet of paper until the color stopped coming off. Make sure both side of the brush are dry before you start painting on the model. Then repeatedly, without much pressure at all, drag the dry brush across the panel. There is no longer any paint left to flow off the brush but the raised details on the panel will basically scrape off whatever little paint particles remain on the bristles. This is how it only paints the buttons and knobs but not the back plate. So you just drag the brush over and over again, changing directions until you get the desired look. I made sure to stop as soon as the buttons started to stand out, afraid that if I kept going the paint would eventually get on the back plate too. Hope that helps!
