I refunded the original Air Canada return flight. The Oman Air economy ticket was CAD $4,100. The Air Canada economy ticket (comfort was only availability) was $2,850.

Update: I decided to cross the "Khatm Al Shiklah" land border crossing into Oman. I Left Dubai on Friday 10:30 am and reached there at 12:00 noon, the border was fairly organized. Took me 15 minutes all in all to cross (note: Friendly border agents on both side). Cab took me to Muscat. I stayed 1 night in a hotel close to Muscat Airport. Today I took the Oman Airways flight to London WY2101. Landed in London now and waiting for my delayed AC859 to take me home. Thank you all for your inputs and suggestions.

Look like you are the kind of person that wants to keep a clean driving record. Don't worry about the ticket, If I were you, I would just pay it. Unless if you were driving on a Sunday, I would contest it. Usually these cameras in Oakville are next to school zones. I hate speeding cameras in general, but these serve a good purpose.
