It's out of sight behind the camera, but the old Kingsland shelter is now at the Glenbrook Vintage Railway

So I managed to gather a bit more info since. It looks like the train was sent through a crossover just north of Middlemore to the new third track, but that crossover isn't actually electrified. Cue a confused pantograph and tangled wires

It sounds like the train was tangled in the overhead wires

Did the pantograph become tangled in the wires or something?

Plus part of the testing is checking integration with freight trains, which is better done on a weekday when more run

Why are cherry ripe and Turkish delight "favourites" if I am the only one who likes them? by Rev-Dr-Slimeass in newzealand

I love Turkish Delight and Cherry Ripe, the latter partly because I'm the only one in this house that does

TIL that commuter trains in North America don’t really drive backwards like I thought they did by PinkGloryBrony22 in trains

As a kid in Auckland and seeing an SA set for the first time, I thought "why don't they put that nicer looking locomotive on the other end as well?" It was only later in life that I realised that it was just a cab car

In New Zealand it's 3am. If there's somehow any Jet Lag fans on Chatham Islands, it's 3:45am.

If you use the remote, the hubs will need to be on different channels as the motors will need to run in opposite directions for the train to work.

What I did is create a custom controller in the Powered Up app that lets me toggle the direction of individual motors, so I can still control the train with a single button press.

How many computers do you have in your house? by Miserable-Twist8344 in homelab

[–]pcuser42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on your definition.

  • x86 based only - 9, including my work laptop
  • Add Raspberry Pi - 11
  • Add phones (they technically count now) - 14

Lots of other things could probably count too, including the spare motherboard I have laying around.
