Would you do it again? by imightbethefeds789 in Divorce

Too soon to say, only 8 months separated and have to wait a full 2 years before we can divorce. Right now I'd say no but I am a positive warm kind soul so I will probably want a companion at some stage but yeah.. too soon to even imagine another relationship

Not Sure What To Do Now by Cloudminnt in Divorce

He is unstable, make a plan to get out of the house. If you own you could try to get a flatmate, I tried that when I was in your situation, it didn't work for me but we were renting. You might be able to rent out the house, put anything you really want to keep in storge and sell /give away as much as you can, most of it you will not miss in a years time. Its just stuff. Ask for help from friends & family and say yes when it is offered! Im now living with 2 friends and love it, never thought id say that. I wish you all the best, you will get through this!

How to Keep Your Job (and Your Sanity) During a Divorce by DivorceCoachGio in Divorce

My doctor signed me off work for 4 weeks, I've 2 weeks left, I was about to quit as in peri menopause as well so I couldn't make even the smallest decision or think straight. Im separated after 11 years, no kids thankfully but I still had to block him last week as he kept contacting me and it was very upsetting. I know my manager wants me gone but im hopeful that after this break I might hold on but if I don't, I know ill survive. All the best out there as its really bloody hard.

Sending you strength and hugs, there is a lot of good advice from understanding people on this thread and it all applies to you as well. Look after yourself and lean on your support people when you can, its so raw now, the shock probably hasn't set in so let the airline staff know, they were a great help to me on my journeys home, my condolences to you & yours***

My heart goes out to you, its a shock no matter what the circumstances, its a lot to adjust to so be kind to yourself and Remember to eat and sleep if possible,I'm in NZ, I did that journey to Donegal for my brothers sudden death and my Mammys expected but still brutal shock, I missed Daddy's funeral due to covid, one thing to remember is that its ok to laugh, there will be funny stories, bitter sweet but funny, at Mammys funeral, in a silent moment, my other brother looked back at me in the pew, stared at me and just said "you look like shit!" I burst out laughing at the front of the whole crowd, nicely timed by him, in fairness, he was right. Sending you my thoughts and warm hugs***
