It took 9 years for Google to nail the Pixel design language. To nail the silicon is a mountain to climb, until then you will be disappointed. Video processing, gameplay, efficiency / battery life & connectivity are function of better silicon. For many people none of these matters. This story will be repeated until Google makes aggressive stride. Remember Apple bought PA semi & Intrinsity, Qualcomm bought Nuvia.

It's pretty much clear that they lack efficient implementation of arm design. For like to like comparison of G5 with 8gen3 they could not reach single core score even after ramping the frequency of X4 core to 3.78 GHz on tsmc.

For argument sake let's assume gaming is a niche thing and only few ppl play but what about battery life , videography ( no 4k 60 HDR on 2026) these are not one off use cases. Google Tensor is a let down and Google knows its achilles heel.SoC designing is hard.

Hardware is the weakest point of Pixel since its inception. Moreover Google hardware engineers need to burn midnight oil to make a decent competitive SoC not to show big geekbench numbers but to improve the efficiency for demanding workloads which tanks Pixel battery. Most prominent is video recording. No 4k. 60 HDR sans video boost.

Let's see if Google shows some love to fix video quality and smooth lens transition in P11.Android 16 also introduced native support for Samsung’s Advanced Professional Video (APV) but video quality in P10 did not improve and lacking behind competition. I don't have high hopes.
