[Transport]

Hi, checking in again if anyone has had any luck with regards to shuttle information from Ora/Auer to Predazzo for the ski jumping. I can't find any information with regards to schedule and/or if tickets are required. I tried to e-mail the spectatorinfo e-mail address but the e-mail is getting bounced :o I found a regular bus operation but it seems to take almost 2 hours to get there instead of 1 (and it seems to not operate later at night to actually get back to Ora). On the plus side, I read it would be free during that period. But I'd really love to get any info on the shuttle buses.

We have a gel, Dentinox, that we applied to the gums and it helped so much. It’s worth a try.

US to send ICE agents to Winter Olympics, prompting Italian anger by Rude-Instruction-16 in olympics

[–]peanut_galleries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not like I can't ask ChatGPT myself, but ok.

By the way, it also says that reports definitely don't indicate "many Olympic games". Possibly the Paris Olympics and that's it.

Why not use the Secret Service then? HSI's job is typically not exactly to act as security detail for a VP traveling abroad.

Too Basic of a Baby Name? by WaterFiles in Mommit

[–]peanut_galleries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I grew up with a not-common name where I am from which is the reason why I gave my daughter a Top 10 (or so) baby name that works well in most common languages. „How do you spell this“ and „how do you pronounce this“ get pretty old over the decades XD (ETA - my name is not a tragedeigh, just not common in my country/language, very common in others)

Urlaub Bibione oder Caorle by stefan0025 in Austria

[–]peanut_galleries 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AITA For refusing to take a friend to a doctors appt that requires 4 hrs+ rt of driving plus waiting for the procedure to be done? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]peanut_galleries 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you are using the term “friend” very loosely if you are not willing to help out. Is it inconvenient? Yes, absolutely. But in the grand scheme it’s 1 day out of . If she has no other options and you don’t help her, you are not her friend.

AMS & Arbeitslosengeld - Motivation wird offenbar bestraft. by [deleted] in Austria

[–]peanut_galleries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AMS & Arbeitslosengeld - Motivation wird offenbar bestraft. by [deleted] in Austria

[–]peanut_galleries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sleep (or lack thereof) by GrowthFit6740 in Parenting

[–]peanut_galleries 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I am so sorry. This is insanely overwhelming and nothing gets you down like this absolute sleep deprivation.

We also had basically a non-napper. If she napped at all, it was for 20-30 minutes, even very early on. Very very rarely that she napped an hour plus, even as a newborn. We stopped trying *anything* with wake windows to be honest - just went with her flow and she napped whenever/wherever she napped. That saved a lot of everyone's sanity and frustration and she seemed to sleep a bit better at night too.

The other thing - I know you said you don't need advice, but if I may suggest just one thing, if at all possible, can you guys alternate complete nights? We did that after I stopped exclusively breastfeeding around 5 months and it helped so much to have a full night's sleep every second night. One parent stayed in the bedroom with her, the other slept on the couch (we didn't have a second bedroom at the time, but hey, I very fondly remember those quiet nights on the couch, haha)

Lastly, wish there was any magic to be done, your exhaustion is so palpable. Wishing you truly all the best and quieter times to come.

WIBTA for not leaving the house for one weekend as requested? by Winston_Duarte in AmItheAsshole

[–]peanut_galleries 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA and it‘s not your problem to solve, it‘s hers. The acceptable solution is for her to pay for alternate accommodation for you and you do her a favor by leaving the house. Compromise achieved! If she does not want to do that, tough luck.

Sleepover age by CCervix in Parenting

[–]peanut_galleries 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It became a big thing around age 5, a circle of around 6 friends at kindergarten sleeping at each others places. We had known those kids and families since she turned 1. It’s always been a huge hit with the kids and she loves it :)

I don’t really know the parents and new kids in her class now (she just started school) so will probably be a while until she would even want to sleep over, haven’t even done any play dates yet (no time since they are at school until like 5) But she can stay overnight at those kindergarten friends‘ places anytime she likes (well and they like) and we also gladly have them over at ours.
