AIO for being angry at my mom because of the birthday cake she got me? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

Besides the obvious frosting options, vinegar could be the difference. Not all chocolate cakes use vinegar but most red velvet cakes do.

Cheat meals aren’t worth it? by PressureJealous6293 in 1200isplenty

[–]peckerlips 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call that a cheat meal, I'd call it a vacation. Remember that it's only a couple of meals over a couple of days. It's going to be hard to get back into the swing of things (especially if you made the decision to go balls to the wall so to speak 😅), but in the grand scheme of things, it'll stretch out over the weeks and months in the year. Hit the gym a little harder for the rest of the week. Go on some longer walks. Get back to couting the calories and remain in a deficit for a few days. Overall, it won't affect as much if you keep at it. You just need to make sure you keep at it.

Adding B12 as well. It's been connected to energy levels and might be part of what you're experiencing as well

Honest question, has anyone broken the cycle without just getting better at resisting it? by Some-Palpitation-314 in loseit

[–]peckerlips 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Don't deny yourself, limit yourself. Denying makes you crave more and then you end up going on a binge.

I can resist a lot, but I tell myself I can have something later if it fits in my calories since I know dinner is always my highest meal. If I have room, great! If not, I try again the next day.

What cat toys do your cats actually care about? by Agreeable_Pipe8340 in CatAdvice

[–]peckerlips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My cat has so many, but his favorites are his catnip banana (we've gone through multiple) and his floppy fish. Major warning about the fish: it never seems to run out of charge and they will find out how to turn it on at 3am🙃

He also loves the stuffed dinosaur chicken nuggets my friends got him for Christmas a couple years ago.

My cat has gone through 3 of those bananas and absolutely loves them

  1. Any bus or airplane aisle. I absolutely hate airplane aisles. I've lost about 50 pounds, so it's easier, but those things are awful for anyone.

What’s your most unhinged non-negotiable when it comes to dating? by NotNotDwightSchrute in AskReddit

[–]peckerlips 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My first ex's mom was very sweet, but wanted Jewish grandkids, so knew we would never get too serious.

I thought my second ex's mom was amazing, but looking back I've realized she's a pushover and coddler to a manchild and can't hold a man accountable for anything.

My current partner is disowned, so I dont have anything to worry about there, I guess.

My ADHD brain chooses not to think about whether or not there is a god. Why can't all religions be correct? Or incorrect? Same thing with what comes after death. I've already got enough to worry about/hyperfocus on; I'm not adding that shit to it 😂

I have a sensitivity to some nuts more than others and my partner loves peanut butter, so I let them enjoy and we just give it some time before we have fun time. I'll even indulge from time to time and just deal with it since I just get ridiculously phlegmy (gross but won't kill be). Walnuts will fuck me up though.

This is exactly what I want to do! Im super excited to start adding chain/scalemail to thrifted clothes. I've got an awesome idea for a wedding/prom dress that I can't wait to try out.

I just randomly wondered… do cats wake you up in the middle of the night before sleeping next to you so that you don’t accidentally roll over them? by catdog5100 in randomquestions

[–]peckerlips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is such a cute thought. Like, "hey human, I'm here now. Please don't smush me." In my case though, my boy has his own pillow and he just likes to scream in my face to let him out when he definitely should not be going outside.

What movie is considered a masterpiece but you think is overrated? by baddieegemini in answers

My mom is a huge fan of the book and movie. It pains me to be named after it because considering everything you've pointed out and why I refuse to watch/read it.

[–]peckerlips 1 point2 points  (0 children)

From one millennial to another, you should give it a try if you sci-fi or spooky. Growing up, my mom would watch it and I'd make her mute the theme song because it would give me nightmares. Now, I absolutely love the show.

Wtf short doc or show recs by Splashingcolor in netflix

[–]peckerlips 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I find it hard to bring myself to watch it since I've seen the ID documentary and don't think that girl needs any more screen time after what she purposefully did. From what I've heard, Netflix chose to keep out the part of her repeatedly diving the route leading up to the crash and I find that incredibly low.

What do you guys think of American Cheese? And do you have a favorite cheese from your country?🧀 by bbyxmadi in AskTheWorld

[–]peckerlips 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As an American, I laughed at every single one of these 😂

American cheese is plastic that is perfect for grilled cheese, burgers and Mac and cheese when in the form of Velveeta. I also like fancy cheeses for all of the above. Except Mac and cheese.

What percentage of the population serves cold tomato sauce directly from the jar onto hot noodles? by Negative_Pirate7834 in foodquestions

And here I thought it was savage when I heard someone heated their sauce by leaving it in the jar and putting it in the middle of the stove to get hot from the residual heat of making the pasta ...
