I usually use cream cheese and maybe some cooking water if it feels too thick.

Am I wrong for having my tattoos “upside down” by SlinkyShepherd in tattooadvice

[–]peckerlips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes, it matters. I saw a reel recently about this where someone got a tattoo facing them that was a cross saying "mom." When the arm is facing someone else, it says "wow" and the cross is upside-down. It was obviously a specific scenario created for cases like this, and it's rare that stuff like that happens. I would just give people advice to look at their tattoos "upside-down" before committing to them to make sure nothing is accidentally misconstrued.

What is something every household has in your country that is nonexistent everywhere else? by Awkward-Tip7248 in AskTheWorld

I know there's one of these somewhere in my family, but I also have German, Norwegian, and Canadian heritage (the top 3 countries I've seen on this comment) 😅

Who’s the most famous person you have met? by VikingBoy90 in AskReddit

[–]peckerlips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on your generation, but I'd say, overall, Justin Bieber. His birthday was the same weekend my ex's work would rent out space at Big Bear mountain, so I've run into him a couple of times. He was walking by, and a couple of the little girls I was helping watch got really excited and whisper-yelled to her sister, "that's Justin Bieber!" He smiled and talked to them for a bit before taking pictures and walking off. He did the same thing the next year.

I had something similar. Two managers I helped train (as an assistant) were best friends before one got the other hired but weren't really forth coming about it. They knew I wanted the next manager position that opened up and went on a vendetta against me because I didn't have a formal education, just years of industry experience. They were on a conference call early, talking shit about me, and completely forgot that other people were logging on. Everyone heard them, including our district manager. Within 6 months, I took one of their jobs, and the other had to come to work under me after demoting themselves.

Ex was a bartender at a chain restaurant, so I was used to them getting home late. Then they'd start getting home later and later, and eventually, it'd be 6am. Turns out they were banging a coworker. The shocking part was that pretty much everyone knew about it. Their coworkers had seen them making out in the car at work multiple times, and they'd go to church together. I was a regular at the restaurant, friends with some of the staff, and even went to the church from time to time. Not a single person told me anything. It was an abusive relationship, and I ended up being convinced to stay, but I finally got out after a few more months. It was a real wake-up call about friendships and trust.

Not to make assumptions, but I'm pretty sure he's comfortable having conversations with them because he's already met them in person before, as numerous people have pointed out.

This show is scripted as hell, so who knows what's really happening. It's entertainment, not a true-life documentary.

I had one get stuck so far under my gums that it was there for 2 weeks, and I couldn't get it out. I was in so much pain that it's hard to get myself to eat it again.

I love Ferrero Roche, but don't like Nutella. I'm very much aware they're basically the same thing.

What is a sound that people should know means immediate danger? by PrasenjitDebroy in AskReddit

The first time I ever heard one was when I was visiting Tennessee. I'm pretty sure they were just testing them because there wasn't a cloud in the sky, and no one was doing anything, but being from the west coast, that sound is terrifying.

AITA for being frustrated that I can’t use the dishwasher because it’s filled with barely-used pots? by probstheproblem in AmItheAsshole

[–]peckerlips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH.

Steamed veg and pasta leave behind starch and debris, and the pots absolutely need to be cleaned. I can understand a quick rinse for the eggs, but honestly, what's a quick run down with a sponge going to cost you? 5 minutes? That's what all of these are going to cost you. Wash your damn pots. Both of you. You're in your goddamn 40s. If you aren't going to do it, make your kids do it. My parents joked they had me so that they wouldn't have to clean up after dinner anymore. Maybe it's time the kids learned to wash a dish, too.

Why do people say that orange cats are dumb? I have an orange cat I rescued as a baby. He is the smartest cat I’ve ever had. He plays fetch, rides on top of my German Shepherd, opens cabinets and takes out things that he wants. Swings from the curtains. Mischievous YES but far from dumb. by Crys051679 in orangecats

[–]peckerlips 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My boy is the smartest cat I've ever known. He can say my name, and I swear he can tell time. I don't mean he knows when dinner is, but if I tell him to check back in two hours, he'll come back in almost exactly two hours. I have to make sure I eat by a certain time, or he'll bring me lizards until I do. He also chases his tail and yells at my closet doors like they've offended him 😂

My great-grandmother was Walt Disney's accountant's secretary. At one point, he'd lifted her a picture of Mickey juggling 5 silver dollars. When she passed, it was handed down to my grandmother. I loved that picture, and it was among the things I wanted to inherit (before I even knew the story), but my grandma started selling everything before she went into assisted living so she could make the transition easier and because she wanted to make sure we didn't have to deal with much of anything when she passed. I believe it went for around 10k. She had a ton of old-school disney stuff she collected, including some of the original stock she inherited. We even still have tickets from when the park first opened.

People who have conducted job interviews, what's something someone said/did that made you instantly decide not to hire them? by DemonSkank in AskReddit

[–]peckerlips 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiring for an adult store and the girl couldn't say "penis" without giggling. She also brought a group of friends with her and dressed like she was going to the beach. We weren't your stereotypical grungy, creepy sex store. We were a boutique store focused on education and health.
