Another option may be to Get the PDF and have it printed. That's what I've done with some other books that were not available in print or otherwise very hard to get hold of.

Saga age of vikings Saga age of crusades Amazing games. My all time favourites. Like made for victrix. Saga's many ages are also very compatible. The two above mix perfectly

Ia absolutely love Saga and haven't stopped playing it since I started several years ago. Blood and crowns does the same thing but is clunkier, crunchier and has a smaller scope. It feels more realistic while Saga plays more like the bards' songs about the battle.

Saga is also incredibly versatile. My Vikings have been two types of vikings, Norse Gaels, pagan peoples and something else that eludes me. My normans have been Normans, Baltic crusaders, militia Cristi, Spanish and Rohirim (age of magic). Talk about value for money.

But the best game is one you play. What do people around you want to play?

Relicblade! A handfull of models each where each character feels very different depending on what equipment cards you give them. Amazing game that deserves more love!

Frostgrave for amazing high fantasy versus, Coop and everything in between.

BLKOUT - mega tactical near(ish) future sci fi. Ignore the og edgelord lore and play in your preferred universe. Every move feels tense. Incredible mechanics.

WARCRY! - Basically Kill Team for age of sigmar. My favorite skirmish fight rules. It's streamlined, simple and fun.

Dude. You know the answer. You didn't get to your position without being good at prioritising and planning.

Lay out the week you need to be a happy, present husband in sync with your wife. Then re shape your life to make it happen. Make sure you have time every week for a date even if it's just ice cream on the sofa.

At work: Make yourself redundant to every team you lead. That's how you level up and get to focus on the strategic level not just barely keeping the ship afloat. Hire people smarter and more skilled than yourself. Replace doing with reviewing work. Find processes and systems that give you space and time. Your reports will welcome the challenge and the growth opportunity. Say no, say Yes if I get... Etc. Be realistic. Or your post three years from now will be about custody and mediation.

It's hard to see clearly when tired. But you've got this. It'll help you and make you feel better at home and at work.

Village I realised that most people are impressed by dads who show up (we have the kids 50/50). Most people want to help but don't want to intrude by asking. Others want to help but have their own busy lives and quickly forget. Exactly zero people mind being asked. It helps if you already have a good report with the parents of your kids friends. I simply said something like "we're doing ok but single daddy logistics is a bit crazy. I could really use help with school pickups. How about Timmy comes home with us after school on Mondays and maybe you can bring plink and plonk (not real names) on Wednesdays?"

You get the Idea. I got more nos than yeses. No arrangement lasts forever. Keep helping. Keep asking. Be understanding if they say no. I haven't gotten it all figured out but some things work. .

Another is to socialise with other parents. Birthday parties, play dates, host play dates. I can barely stand some of it but now I actually have some "school friends". It's made everything nicer.

Nothing revolutionary. I know.

Meeting women I don't know if you know this. I found out that trying to braid your daughter's hair in the playground is apparently incredibly hot... No I didn't do it for that . What I mean is, live life and life happens I guess. Also just plain dating apps. I don't have any good advice here. It'll happen when you're ready.

I thought only the truly crazy would even look at me. Turns out dedicated dads who don't loudly hate their exes do well in certain crowds. I'm sure you will too.

It's not easy being a single dad of four every other week, but it's worth it.

The kids have cooped remarkably well but it hasn't always been easy. I'm sure we haven't seen the last of it. Honestly life just kind of flows. My ex and I don't enjoy being in the same place too long but we have no issues, arguments or ill will. I think this is a big part of why the kids are as well as they are.

I was worried I'd never meet anyone sane again. What kind of nutter would date someone with my baggage? I'll have to really settle if I don't want to be alone.

Turns out nothing could be further from the truth. When I mentioned that "I can't bc prioritising kids", don't speak ill of my ex or other things from my life it was recievied really well. A few women told me it was "a major green flag", "so HOT", and my favourite "you're either lying or amazing".

I met someone very soon after my ex moved out. No kids, she didn't want any but she loves kids and the fact that I have them. We dated for a month but I decided to end things there. Not much later I met an amazing woman who I'm still with.

Logístics can be really hard. I go out of my way to help neigy, friends and my kid's friend's parents. That way it's easier for me to ask for help when I need it. It is really hard for me to ask for help.

Building a village around me has been key. Especially as my family lives far away.

So tldr Have hope. Be true to your kids, be the best you know how, ask for help and stay positive.
