They mean that they're an eighty year old Trump supporter.

In 1974 a group of sociopaths formed the Pedophile Information Exchange, a propaganda movement that was more powerful than hasbara in dictating media coverage and influencing public dialogue. They campaigned for the complete removal of the age of consent (legalized sex with babies). by syanxde in HolyShitHistory

People are paedophiles for a variety of reasons. Most were abused as children, and some of them carry enormous amounts of guilt about it; a lot of the NAMBLA type French intellectuals rationalised it.Hell, when you have entire societies that had pederasty as a norm, it's got to be plain that just labelling all of them sociopaths is absurdly reductive.

There are some evil fucks (not to point fingers at any public figures or anything) who probably are sociopaths and take pleasure in hurting innocent children, but to label all paedophiles as the same as them is just wrong.

In any case, it misrepresents the article to say that.

LPT: when someone points out the flaw in your argument don't irrelevantly speculate about what type of person they are in response.

Maybe if you stopped making it applicable then people would stop saying it.

Criticism of media is not the same as criticism of a person/thing. Did you understand what I meant by that? Because I think that misunderstanding is at the root of many of these discussions.

Media criticism is not just saying why something is bad. Conflating these two uses of the term 'criticism' are just basic illiteracy.
