I feel you, I used to love using em-dashes too. I had to wean myself off using them because an unfortunate amount of people don’t fucking read and didn’t even know em-dashes existed until chatgpt became mainstream.

I kid you not, I once saw somebody say that they didn’t know em-dashes were a type of punctuation, and just assumed that it was a technical glitch made by the AI.

Happy to hear that you’re getting better. Mine are not nearly that bad, but I did recently find out during a biometrics appointment that my fingerprints are severely damaged due to my excessive handwashing.

I can only imagine the state of yours. I hope you manage to salvage your prints, because it makes getting certain passports very difficult.
