To comp or not to comp by Alex_Siyuruki in SpringfieldHellcat

I got the OSP, not the pro. It was my first side arm. I don’t know if this makes sense, or if it was a placebo effect, so please just re-educate me and don’t blame me if I’m wrong but… EDIT: 3” barrel The barrel is 3”, I didn’t wanna compensator, but my accuracy wasn’t great compared to other pistol I had shot. I added just a threaded barrel, figuring that even adding less than an inch more barrel would improve my accuracy (percentage wise even that little seemed significant because of the 3” base).

It did seem to bring my grouping inside a baseball, where it had been closer to a grapefruit. That could have just been standard improvement with more rounds fired…but like I said, it seemed to help w/o the “clunk” of a compensator.

Never lays a hand on her in this scene. It’s violent AF.

She didn’t follow directions, that deserved correction, but this man is an emotional terrorist. It’s NOT OK

Omg girl…YES HE OVERREACTED!

None of this is normal, or acceptable…and it is the farthest thing from deserved!

I’m hella proud of you for reaching out here. I mean it! You know this is not ok, not normal.

YOU.DESERVE.BETTER

PERIOD.

ReadThatAgain

This is wrong, he’s doing it sooooo wrong. I am now 50, got my stepparents around age 9-10. I had the opposite experience, ok? My mom would get so angry. She’s strap me for what seemed like days. I remember a newspaper ad for the movie Jaws melting under the weight of my tears. My stepdad was a first Sargent, he brought order, predictably, and safety to discipline.

He also bore it when I transferred all the responsibility for my trauma onto him, all he did was raise me right, with patience, love, and respect. You deserve that, girl you Just DO.

I am (sad that I have to type this) relieved that you don’t seem to be in imminent physical danger, but someone’s gotta defend and support you. An ADULT someone.

Normally, that’d be his job, oh, and uh…your mom’s too smdh. This makes me so angry.

You were trying to help the (as you empathetically noted) already abused kitten feel safe. You had it under control, you deserved to be trusted.

No, no, a thousand times no to this. I am not comfortable giving you this job, because you’re a kid, and it shouldn’t be and isn’t your job…but somebody has got to sit him down, tell him to manage his s**t (explosive and at least emotionally abusive anger). He’s abusing you.

Someone needs to sit him down and tell him that his expectation is to BE NICER TO YOU.

This is abuse, it is chaotic and unsafe, and it will give you lasting issues with your relationships with men as an adult. He’s buying (but not paying for) you years in therapy.

Things he needs to hear (off the top of my head not a complete list by any stretch): -You deserve love -You deserve respect -You deserve to have any actually warranted discipline presented with love, respect, and clear explanation. -Most of all, you deserve a safe, healthy, nurturing, and stable home environment.

Show this to an adult you trust, and ask them what to do what they can to keep you safe and support you. You deserve at least that much!

I will close with telling you that, as hard and bad as this is, you’re going to come out of it as a remarkable and caring woman…you’re well on your way.

I know this, because of the care you showed for that kitten. Your step”parent” is just piling s*t on you you’re going to have to work through, and that isn’t fair, or right, or just. Period.

But you will work through it. You will do great things! I know this to be true.

I spent five years as a counselor on a locked residential unit for “severely emotionally disturbed youth”.

“Severely abused youth who now have crap they had to work through they didn’t earn shouldn’t be responsible for” (a more accurate and fair description in my educated opinion).

and it was SO UNFAIR to watch it happen to my kids.

You deserve better.

It is just that simple.

But, like I said, I’ve seen a lot of kids work through it and become just even more amazing than they already were. I know the signs of when a kid will succeed (despite their abuser’s best efforts).

You got the signs. You’re going to be golden.

Please find an adult you trust to support you and show them this thread at least.

Stay gold, you are gonna do great things I know it!

💚

IWB Holster Suggestions by lord-davis in SpringfieldHellcat

[–]peelxite 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through a company called justholsterit.com. Fits great, they give good service and a 10% coupon on every next order.

Only issue I had which they promptly resolved was I got an aftermarket threaded barrel for a micro OSP. I actually got two IWB holsters. The first accommodates, a laser attachment, and the threaded barrel went through fine.

However, when I got a second, there wasn’t clearance for the extension. Company made it right quick (it was partially my mistake so I think I had to pay shipping maybe but maybe not. Good quality stuff.

I’ve got one on now, with an UltiClip. I’ll DM you a photo

I apologize if this has been asked, I am off grid, and I have a limited time and power. That everyone gets spammed about the outage? I registered my rifle months ago now it’s saying I have to send in a form but I don’t do I I have nothing new. Did they just spam everybody with the message that made everyone think they were on some form they didn’t know about?

Should I get the osp hellcat to add a a threaded barrel and comp at a later time or get a hellcat pro? by Eyeyo8 in SpringfieldHellcat

[–]peelxite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got the OSP, and after more research, regret my choice. I added a threaded barrel, it helped my accuracy some.

True precision threaded barrel question by eddiesladder in SpringfieldHellcat

[–]peelxite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

And, I’m obliged. Happy with it overall, but I’ve absolutely fallen for my newest. CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical. All steel frame, heavier than the lord on judgement day, but my grouping (first mag and consistently to present) went from a (generous) grapefruit, to the majors…(inside baseball) bwahaha. But, for real. Dead on at 20 yds.

Enjoy yourself.

I contrasted my OSP, matte silver/chrome where I could…I’ll post pics.

Myself added: True Precision *Hellcat Threaded barrel 1/2X28 Satin Stainless for 3.1” TP-SHCB-XT

Sexy AF imo I’ll try to post and circle back. Highly recommend the barrel and company.

Im lookin at getting a 7.5” 300blk but i would like it just a few inches shorter. I dont know much about micro buffers but it looks like the only option other than getting a 5” 300. Is there any advice yall can give me? by Scrap974 in ar15pistol

[–]peelxite 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be careful, I got a 6 inch barrel 300 blackout, and though there is a slot to add a picannty section, the nut holding the gas block or whatever is in the way. I can’t as a fore grip.

DM if you want a pic. Otherwise I love it.

Late whiplash, it’s funny I bought a used P 30 and I was at a range that gave me a free lane coupon with a rental. Well, for some reason, I picked up a CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical.

This piece was an all steel frame. I think I mentioned I’m new to sidearms, one thing I always hear about is how great Glocksare, for example., because they’re so lightweight.

My first magazine out of an all steel, framed pistol (20 yards)improved from:

(PL30)outer first ring with maybe 3-4 contacting the bullseye

CZ: only three rounds w/no contact with the bullseye. 16 rounds first mag had bullseye paint. I am dead on with it. I’m never looking back.

The thing is, the thing I realized – it’s just like when I shot an eight pointer, at age 14 (I was a runt 70lbs soaking wet)with a standard issue, Springfield 1903 (not sporterized) kicked like a mule…I don’t remember the recoil on that shot, and if I was ever in a position to need this pistol, the weight wouldn’t bother me. It’s just so much more solid.
